Just got my Lavatube today and have some Torchy FT 18650 2800mAh protected batteries and some Panosonic NCR 18650 MH12210 protected batteries. None of these fit. ??? Can someone help me find a good battery that will fit. Also dose it have to be protected? Many thanks

The LT has protection so your 'de-modified safe' battery will be safe in the LT.

I wouldn't be modifying any battery and using it In the grand scheme of things decent batteries aren't that expensive! Get the right one for the job, you're e-cig is too close to your mouth/face to be taking chances!

I have already modified my Lavatube received this morning by de-bumping the battery cap. The bumps are obviously to stop it rolling when placed on its side.

In this case the battery looks like a panasonic so is not a low quality battery so ok to do, as long as who is modifying it knows what they are doing. You are right though, not something to be generally suggested or recommended doing because there is sure to be someone who will do something wrong. So, don't do it again dognero. B-|
