I actually bought some spare bases the other day on the end of an order for my CE5's thinking that they if they sell them as spares then they most go wrong at some point therefore i must have spares lol.

I wait with bated breath on the correct answer for this.

I have a spare tube for my nova I bought one though bought the mini by mistake but when he gets the vivi nova bigger one in I am going to use mine with other tube so I can have different juice in either, know I only have one top but then it's just a case of swapping the head over and putting cling film over the one your not using and putting somewhere safe.

Hi summer it's not the tube, I also have lots of the metal ones it's the bottoms

They go wonky and cause leaks, gurgliness, if it goes really wonk it can shear off the bottom thread, have had this happen to me.

Having dropped mine on the floor a couple ot times, the bottom became detached from the screw fitting.

The threads on them will wear eventually, but to be honest - I've never had to change one in any of the ones we use in the shop.

So, personally, I don't see much need for them unless you're wanting to make a new one up without buying a full kit

The threaded part is deliberately designed to be weak and shear off, so if you drop you break the base threaded part rather than the threaded connector in the battery or mod.

In that case the threaded connector on my chrome LT must have been really sh@t

Sorry I meant I bought the bottom post to put my spare tube on them just have to swap the top over.

I've bought a few of them BC ( there's a surprise ) . . . along with some spare top caps, I can make up complete Nova's using these along with new heads/spare tanks that I've accumulated.

It's a shopping opportunity not to be missed really.
