OK, so I know there are lots of threads on this. I know all about vaper's tongue/mouth. I drink plenty. I've been off the fags for a month now. I know stuff takes time. I clean my teeth regularly, and have experimented with mouthwash. BUT: I'm still having trouble tasting some juices, if not most of them. They taste great for the first couple of toots, then go bland. Even happens with minty menthol, although to a lesser degree. If my taste buds were still shot, I shouldn't be able to taste anything for the first drags or two, I wouldn't have thought. It's been like this for nearly a week now, and it's annoying as I have so many gorgeous juices! Help!!

I have just been able to taste juice this week after 4 weeks had man flu then a cold so I saved a fortune using up stuff I wasn't keen on couldn't even taste menthol but some people have used salt and other things to clean there mouth with, I found TCP helped a bit, but everyone is not the same hope it clears up for you soon Jen

I found that the way around it for me was to change juices regularly. If I stuck with one juice for more than a couple of hours, I lost the taste. Changing seemed to revitalise everything. Might be worth a try? Andy

I'm having exactly the same issue right now.
Last few days I've tried, Swedish fish, apple, spearmint and my beloved egg custard tart. All of which taste like nothing after a few vapes.
Only thing I can taste is extreme ice from vape things, but that's a very strong juice so now I'm wondering if that's over powering everything else.
Usually when the taste buds go on holiday I vape menthol for a day and I'm back to normal, this week it's not worked.
I've also tried a clearomizer, kanger, mini nova and large nova tank.

Juice rotation is the most important thing for me. I honestly lose the taste of anything over an hour of use. That's why I'm trying to keep as many flavors on the go as I can.

I switch mine around I usually end up with 3 or 4 flavours and swap between them all day Menthol juices are the only ones that keep their taste most of the day for me at the moment.

I'm part of the posse that has a few flavours on the go too, it keeps the taste buds interested.

I also rotate. I'm also a creature of routine, and my current routine is: Morning - coconut caramel with hazelnut honey Daytime - Grizwald's GY-4 Evening - one or more of gvc, egg custard tart, lemon meringue pie, bananas and cream, cocomel, coconut caramel with hazelnut honey again... and whatever else is in my cupboard... Apart from anything else, there are so many great juices that it seems rude not to share my affections between them

Yep - it's really annoying, isn't it?? I'm using my Cannon & Olympian dripping atties, even changing flavours every few drops doesn't help, let alone every couple of hours. I can taste very sweet things, like Unicorn Blood, and menthol/minty things - but they're the only flavours that stay after the first 2 toots. Alchemist's Cupboard LMP - fantastic first drag, all those pastry, meringuey undertones are gone by drag 3 leaving me with sweetish lemon. Meh. Going to stick to my peppermint menthol all day today and see if that works. Otherwise, I'm kind of at the end of my rope with it all.

Jen - looking at your banner, you seem to be only a month or so into the vaping, so stick with it and try not to get too frustrated. I remember a similar period when everything tasted of nothing, and it passes. I'm not sure why this is - I wonder if it's your brain teasing you, and expecting the same (horrible) taste you got when smoking tobacco? I think our brains also get acclimatised to the different type of taste associated with e-juice eventually, and learn to cope with it more easily. Juice rotation (sounds very posh!) is a good way of keeping the tastes fresh, and the hint about menthol certainly works for me. It's as if the menthol is such a strong flavour that it gets the tastebuds working overtime coping with it, and then they get more taste from other juices afterwards. Just make sure that you have a dedicated tank for menthol flavours, otherwise everything tastes of it! Hope you work through this - might be worth trying (funds allowing of course) another juice delivery method - I used a DCT for a couple of weeks, and now when I go back to this, I realise just how good a system it is, albeit a bit outdated now, with all the new Kanger tanks around. I hope this helps, Jen Andy

Newbie alert: what's a DCT? I have cartos for when I go out with my AIO, clearos and Vivi Novas for at home with my Spinner and Lavatube. And the aforementioned dripping atties, which I'd normally get bags of flavour out of. Could it be an allergy? I make pure VG juices myself, but some of the bought stuff has PG too. Can you be allergic to nicotine?? I could try vaping zero for a day and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise, it looks like I'll just have to wait it out, eh? Thanks all for the help!
