Ey Up all, ok so I've been vaping for a bit now, and it's time to look at mixing my own juice. CAn you guys recommend the best/cheapest UK suppliers of DIY components, i.e. nic base and PG please? I want to start off small-scale to test it out, so don't want litres and litres just yet. Also, reading through other bits, keeping nic base seems to be ok for a good while, what about mixed but unflavoured base, i.e. nic & PG mixed ready to add flavours, does that keep for a reasonable time (poss several months)? Hanx in advance

Hi Gunjack - I've only recently got into DIY myself, but Post Modern Smoking and Leisure Liquids have been recommended to me as good vendors who have a good stock level and competitive prices. Hope this helps! Andy

Hi Gunjack - I have just got into DIY myself. Bought the majority of my juice from Post Modern Smoking as well. They stock Flavourart which requires a lower amount in each mix, guessing it is more concentrated than some other brands, so value for money should be greater. Their prices on Nic base and pg/vg were competitive and delivery was within a day or two. WIll be going back to them. Will be looking at somewhere that sells Capella flavourings shortly as at the moment I am only doing single flavour menthol and fruit mixes.

Keep your mixed unflavoured base in a cool dark place, away from any children/pets if you're not setting it aside for long term storage Jack, it'll be good for a couple of years stored that way. PM get my vote as well, plus Dave is a really helpful vendor if you have any queries or questions. I'd have to beg to differ on the F'art potency though Dick, I understand their Tobacco's are intense, but the majority of their other flavourings that I've used aren't especially. Although nice authentic flavours, I generally mix them at, at least 20%. Very much on a par with the concentration I use for TPA's.

To be fair Perpetua I am learning that you maybe right. I have mixed all of mine to 5% so far, but will probably be increasing that in the next mix. You go up to 20%? I was going to go to 7.5% and see if that was enough!!

Lol, at least 20% Dick . . . but I have taste buds of steel. Certainly on the dessert flavours I favour then I do . . . although I'm more moderate with their spice flavours.

I'm thinking I'll do some smaller batches of 10, 15 and 20 % and see how they fair. Can always dilute the higher percentages if my taste buds can't cope! Sorry for hijacking your thread GunJack.

+1 for postmodern smocking. Also great service from alchemists cupboard and liberty flights.

I would agree with Perps.... 20% is the minimum I use for MOST fruit / dessert type flavourings, sometimes as much as 30%.
