Well I've decided to stop using my SS Vamo in 18650 mode as it's getting to the stage when it's almost hot enough to burn my hand So I was wondering how many of us suffer from the over heating problem ... I also have the chrome version which I never had a problem with and that had the tiny spring.

Have you swapped the spring over to the Silver Bullet hot spring Balllsy? That seems to have cured the overheating issue that others were having as well.

I had a big copper spring sent from Jason. Still overheating, do you think the silver bullet spring will make a difference ?

Probably not . . . as I think Jason said he was going to buy a load of them from Toby for his SS Vamo customers Balllsy.
What 18650's are you using?

What are you using on it and at what setting? Though I'm almost out of ideas if it happens with AW's as well Balllsy, sorry. Have you been back in contact with your Vendor, just in case you've a rogue one?

I use 18650 efest with mine, I got a new end cap and hot spring from VE. Before that it would sometimes get warm if I was using my aga t+ with a coil of 1.8 or bellow. No probs with 2.4 etc. I needed a new end cap anyway as I got it cheap as it wouldn't screw into 350 mode. It's absolutely fine now. What I did notice was with the old end cap you had to screw it on about half way before the screen did the three flash thing. With the new end cap it flashes as soon as you touch the body with the cap maybe try a new cap with your new spring? Hope it gets sorted for you. Chris.

I asked the guru (Robby) about Vamo problems, and the easy fix seemed to be a light sanding to lower resistance (ohms) at the point of contact. This should in turn help reduce any heat created.

Have you been back in contact with your Vendor, just in case you've a rogue one? I'm using an Igo-L have been for a month or 2 coiled at 1.7 ohms and another Igo-L @ 2.4 ohms. The 18650 batteries are Sennybor not AW but they are also IMR so that's not the problem. I've not been in touch with the vendor because I have had it a few months now so don't think it's covered, and wanted to try to sort it without bothering the vendor tbh.

I'd try an AW . . . but that's me grasping at straws tbh Balllsy.

the only time mine get warm is through having it in my hand all the time , when I first got mine it would not work so decided to pull it in bits as against sending it back, and I found that the center pin between the battery and PCB had very very little solder on it to make a good connection, so I decided to re solder it and it works perfect without any issues at all. If it's from us Ballsy - send it back and let's have a look at it. If it's hot enough to burn your hand, you shouldn't be using it really
