Many people have though without problems, but the 2.4 head would probably be the best and the 2.8 head will be fine but a little bit weaker!

I may be wrong but i believe it (possibly) has an adverse effect on a Riva battery and can shorten its life. I actually mainly use 1.8ohm heads but i have only started using mini nova's since i upgraded my battery!

TBH I can't remember exactly ???
I think it may have something to do with the wiring and the battery being unregulated. Then again, I could be wrong!
It's not something I would really worry about as I have plenty batteries, but perhaps something to take into consideration if you are just starting out with only a couple of bats!

I'm using a 1.8 in my ce4 with a ego type battery should I change it back to the 2.4 or is it just the riva's that are affected.

What makes a mini Nova better than the clearly the Rival comes with? Probably just personal preference. I had built up quite a collection of Clearo's but i only ever buy mini novas now! And again maybe preference, but i really do prefer the mini nova to the larger nova!

Just the Rivas, they're unregulated. Should be fine on an Ego! Probably fine on a Riva too, but a very slight risk to the battery!

Thank you daveyboy. Just thinking ahead to my next order. I have seen some lush ego embossed batteries. I am getting on really well with clearos at the moment, but a change it good as a rest as the saying goes.

1.8 attys on ego batteries are not a problem.
The Riva battery has thinner wires inside and the extra heat generated by a lower reistance atty could melt the wires or the solder joints so best avoided.
