traders reputation section?

Was just wondering really if you've ever thought bout doing a traders rep area for non suppliers as there are a few people who sell on here who arnt traders and people who swap stuff.

So say like i sold something and the other person received it without probs

then a mod would put something like:

roachieuk rep +1

and say i didnt send the good but had received the item/money from the person then you would put:

roachieuk -1 (didn't bother sending the goods/money)

so something like that as i thought this would be a good idea.

We did have a karma facility on the board Roachie, where in effect what you suggest was possible.

Sadly, it got abused due to interpersonal events and Chris wisely chose to remove the facility.

Personally, I'm not in favour of it as I believe it can create an inequality amongst members . . . . something, along with 'cliques' there's a very happy abscence of on this forum.

I'd always suggest if you've had a good trade with another member to say so on their classified thread . . . I can't believe that there would be anything other than a good trade on this forum - but if it did happen and the issue couldn't be resolved privately, then there is nothing to stop anyone politely noting a problem.

I really don't believe that would be needed! TBH I would trust 90% of the users from this forum totally (ok... some exceptions! That JerrySomeThing and others like him...uhmm! The Admin and Mods mainly ) ! If something ever goes wrong with an active member of this forum I would be really really surprised ! But, tbh, I wouldn't mind much... actions are from whoever practices them ! and "it is better to trust and be fooled, then spending a whole life "not trusting"" (I'm sure there's a word for not trusting that I just can't remember now)
Anyway, obv it's not nice to be cheated but if there's a place where I seriously doubt it will happen, that is here ! o0

Ah thats very true ive found this site a really nice bunch tbh.As im still fresh on the water here its nice to have so many people who are nice friendly and helpful i very rarely stay on a forum unless i feel comftable and that i certainly feel comftable here normally id prob only last for around 10-15posts then go once ive got the info as some people can be so impolite and quiet nasty in some ways.

But back on track its a very good point that as far as i can see theres loads of trustworthy people on here.

I hate when things go bad and you cant resolve them but i feel with a nice warm community like there is on here i doubt there would be any bad to come from it.
