I was waiting on 'essential' vaping supplies. Usually the postman just opens my porch door and puts any packages behind the flower pot. It must have been a different postman for whatever reason he thought putting a small package inside a porch was unsafe. I have to wait 24 hours to pick it up from sorting office which I'm not gonna do because it's right in town. And just in case it happens again I've paid to have it redelivered to my local post office around the bloody corner.. so it'll be monday now. I'll just have to rough it until then. But seriously do they not realize the inconvenience they cause to people.

How about an unexpected foot up his backside? I really wanted to try that Toffee Apple too.

Because it should have been delivered to a neighbour unless you have opted out of the service

It was recorded delivery even though I'm sure I picked basic postage.
I never opted out of anything. How do I check though? ???

I know what you mean Ewol. My regular postie leaves stuff in my electricity box if I'm not home which is convenient. He knows me so well and I trust him, that I have even given him permission to sign for stuff for me too....although he'd probably get sacked if found out...but I'm not going to tell anyone. Never had anything go missing yet.
Playing devils advocate though. The postie today may be new at the job and fear that if the parcel went missing from your porch he could be under suspicion of theft, so is playing everything by the book.

My regular postman does sign for stuff for me. He's great. But on some days the postman is different and I'm not sure why. I miss my regular postman with the bald head and shorts on.

Look at it this way. If he put it behind the pot and it got stolen you will be mad!! If he done his job correctly which he has done you will be mad!!

It wouldn't get stolen. I live across the street from a School. There is cameras everywhere. Safest place around.
Unless Ninjas steal it or something. I reckon vaping Ninjas wouldn't be quite as stealthy as normal Ninjas though.

Yep, it frustrates me too when the regular guy is not on, usually Amazon packages. But Romelee is right, the postie can't really win whatever he/she does. And as an aside, why do they still wear shorts, even in the snow!

Well, I have to appreciate the guys legs. They're like tree trunks. I'd be showing them off too.

The postmen get 1 day off a week and a 'locum' one delivers, who , unless instructed otherwise always plays by the rules cos he don't want getting sacked.
