E=liquid isn't sweetened with aspartame is it?
I ask because it's known to cause cancer. In fact, if you want to look at creating your own market, the biggest producer of aspartame is also the biggest producer of cancer drugs in the states.
I avoid this substance like the plague in food, oh bollox if all this time I've been vaping it.

I think you might find that the whole aspartame issue is unfounded. It's been widely and thoroughly tested and no significant adverse effects found. Lot's of conspiracy theories though.

Sucralose is another sweetener used in eliquid MP . . . I've never come across aspartame, as the other options all do the job perfectly well.

Perhaps you'd like to tell that to the FDA. It's all a matter of fact, the dirty shenanigans that went on during the 80s and Reagan administration and the pressure that was brought to bear on the FDA to give aspartame a clear certificate. Up to you. Perhaps you'd like to tell us how you're so utterly sure that aspartame is safe.

E=liquid isn't sweetened with aspartame is it? I hope not m8 there was a chemist on vapelink who talked briefly about it, saying that it decomposes into neurotoxins second time I've posted this vid recently check around the 1 hour mark (1:00:00) VAPELINK Ep7 - The Search for Sense I don't really trust aspartame and try to avoid it when possible, stopped buying chewing gum cos I can't find a single brand in the uk that isn't loaded with the stuff.

I see that odious CAM quack Mercola has jumped on the anti-bandwagon too. It's generally safe to assume the opposite of whatever he's saying. ah does he have a bad rep then? that video was the first & only time I've heard of him..he seemed fairly genuine though I hope so..it's hard to know who to trust these days.

Donald Rumsfeld was the named vice President of Searle, the company that gave us aspartame. It was only when he got a post in the white house the FDA had to yield and give the thumbs up for its use. Is it safe or is it not ? Until you take a deep long look the answer remains unKnown. '' There are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say, we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don’t know we don’t know. | ” |

That quote was about Iraq, not aspartame. So some what of a misleading post that. Fact is aspartame has undergone more trials than any other food stuff, but the ones that prove it to be safe do not make good headlines or get the flock to flood to fear mongering conspiracy sites. Each to their own though, we can all choose what we want to put into our bodies.

Mercola is an (incredibly rich) AIDS denialist and anti-vaxxer. Nuff said. I guess you just have to make your mind up about what you believe - empirical evidence with all the various concerns about funding and politics, or some bloke trying to flog you 'natural' remedies and masking it with concern about your wellbeing whilst living it up in his 16 bedroom mansion. The way I see it, if there were hundreds of thousands of people dropping dead from chewing gum, we'd know about it already. Natural does not always equal safe or good, neither does chemical always equal terrible and dangerous. I'd trust someone who's spent a lifetime becoming an expert in the most widely-accepted form of knowledge gathering we have on the planet over some bloke in a pub, or on the internet which is today's equivalent. Whatever you believe or put in your body is entirely up to you
