I vape a 60/40 pg/vg mix in both mini novas, and as of tuesday morning a vivi nova.
I had been thinking for a while in the mini novas, by the time the liquid level had got to the .5ml level I was getting vapor but not getting a nicotine hit or atleast a very weak one, also the liquid left had got very thick.
Have got about 3/4 way through a fill in the vivi nova over the last 2 days and now I am convinced I'm not getting a nicotine hit.
I found that topping up the mini novas I got the nicotine hit although not as strong as when I empty the dreggs out and refil from empty.
Am I right or is my imagination playing tricks on me?
Has anyone else noticed this?
While plenty of vapor is nice, I need the hit unfortunately... I'm an addict lol.
Should I go for a lighter 70/30 mix or lighter again?
Also is there a nice big tank like the vivi nova that doesnt leak, easy to replace coils, and feeds from the bottom of the tank? If so what are your experiences with them. I love the mini and vivi nova for the above reasons, so am kind of reluctant to change, but if there is something better out there with a decent capacity I will try it.
TIA
Dan

I won't say it's better . . . but it's a different type of vape that I get more of a hit from DGA and that's a Dual Coil Cartomiser, tanked. The drawback I've found is that the DC's themselves can be variable in quality, some I've had have leaked like mad, others have been great. Something to look at maybe, as well as possibly upping your nic strength for those moments when you want a little more punch.

What nic strength are you using? It quite often happens whereby the final bit of juice thickens up and darkens in colour. Have you washed out the Nova or done a dry burn as the coils can soon get clogged up depending on what flavours you are using. I have Vivi Novas and have never had a leak, but there are some not so good Nova copies out there that some people have reported problems with.

I think there is something going on with the vacuum pressures,When my tank starts to empty if a take a long draw there is a audible suck back as the drip tip leaves my mouth. I think this my be draining the feed pipe back to the tank to some degree. Three quarters full I like for some odd reason. I prefare the smaller tanks as there is a smaller volume of air available for expansion and draw back as it emptys. Of course that explanation could be total pish, but theres something going on

By the time you get to the last bit of juice in any delivery system, (apart from dripping) most of the flavouring and nicotine has been stripped from the juice and you're left with caramelised remains, of course this gets worse with every refill. The only way to combat it is regular cleaning and semi regular new coils and wicks, the adopted term for the old juice is 'backwash'

Thanks guys, so its not my imagination then lol. Yep I like (actually prefer) the vape from dctanks, but found they are great the first fill and leak on the second. I have a tremor in my hands and find them awkward and messy to work with so gave up on them. I dont know if its the fact that they feed from the bottom that I prefer the vape or not tho.
Have looked at a review of the kanger mt3 as something to try in the future with my next order.... has anyone else experience of these?
I have cut down the nicotine strngth from 24mg when I started gradually to 18. I have done it that slow it hasnt really been to much of a problem, although have some 24 in a few less than great flavors I get a bit of a dizzy head on them now, like the first ever cig I smoked lol; but have noticed this with all strengths. Its just more noticable with more left over in the vivi nova than the minis. I think anyway lol.
It seems I have a 30ml bottle of collected backwash saved up, thinking although weak would do me in a pinch If for some reason I did ever run out. I take it is just best binning this stuff then?
I normally wash the novas out with hot water weekly and give them a single dry burn, I seem to get on average about 3 weeks of use per head before the flavor is weak enough to warrant changing. I take it this is about right?
I too have had no problems with the novas, I have my mini novas 5 months, I have spare plastic parts but as yet have not had to use them.
I guess now I have the vamo I have got the bug to try more new rebuildable tanks lol.
Thanks
Dan.
