Hi Emmita, i did not even know there were these scams out there, how do they work? I am glad i found the forum first. Hopefully things will sort themselves out now you have cancelled your card. Another vote for the riva, we have had so many happy people on here after they get there riva kit as it is so much better than what you are using now. Rosco, we crossed posts, check out the link to the pinned thread I posted in my last post. Basically though, they send you a ciggie lookalike with only one battery for "free" . However, at the end of the "free trial" period, they debit your account with around £65.00 plus once a month they send you 5 prefilled cartomisers & debit your account with £19.00 If you send your e-cig back within a stupidly short period of time from ordering it, they just debit your account with "only" about £35.00 restocking fee

Hello Roscopecotrain, if you read the link given in the post above yours it will tell you everything. Unfortunately I found this forum and read the warning AFTER I made my request for the Free Trial.!
The small print in their advertisements is practically invisible, and I had no idea I had signed up for a membership deal for which they have charged me £73 for just 10 cartomizers. And they take this money from your credit card within days of you pressing the submit button! I paid by Credit Card, and have now cancelled that card, so hopefully they won't get any more of my hard earned cash.
Believe me, I will get some e-liquid and refill those damned expensive cartomizers until they fall apart in order to get my money's worth out of them!! LOL!

Unfortunately Emmita, you're not the first nor will you be the last to get stung this way! Still, you've found your way here now, you can refill your cartos a few times and once you and your CC have recovered we can help you find a cheaper but much better kit

Can some kind soul help me with a problem. I would like to try vaping again. After quite a few months of on/off/on/off pattern trying to give up the dreaded cigs but eventually giving up vaping instead I really need to try again and therein lies the problem as the e-cigs have changed so much since I last used one, I think it was a super 901 but no tank or anything for filling just the wading inside the filter. These new e-cigs sound great but I have no knowledge of how they work/fill etc or even which one would suit me better. Can some of you ever helpful people please guide me. I have looked at the Riva 1100 from Vape Escape and Tornado eGo-C Slim from Totally Wicked and if someone could guide me into which one is easiest to use I would be most grateful. At the minute I am roughly on 30 annalogues daily and of course not good for my health and would dearly love to be able to wave bye bye to them once and for all. Also anyone know which tobacco flavoured e-liquid they would recommend to help stave off craving. Filling these tanks or are they cartomizers or clearomizers seems complicated but perhaps its just me Thanks in advance.

Oh (((((Emmita)))) I'm so sorry that they have taken you for so much money They do it with many other items, not just e-cigs I utterly despise them & wish there was some way of putting a stop to them Just on the off chance that a 510 threaded cartomiser will fit your "free trial" e-cig, I'm more than happy to pop one in the post to you if you like, just PM me your address.

Thanks Karma I will study both the links and funny enough I was leaning towards the Riva 1100 so I think that probably makes my mind up. Any thoughts on the e-liquid would be very helpful. Thanks again, will let you know how I get on and if you all dont mind being pestered with me asking a lot of questions if I get stuck filling etc, great x

hi emmita ...what is the diameter of your battery? 8mm, 9mm etc? they look very similar to the liberro & micro-lite cartos that I have cost me about £9 for 10 of them If you can't get the stopper at the end out (some of them are glued in or designed to break when you try) there is a vid on how to re-fill them quite easily here

Tabs - go with the Riva suggestions here - I only started vaping a couple of days ago, and got an Ego Twist kit from an Irish supplier, which is working well for me, but it sounds like the Riva is equally simple - and it really IS simple. You get the kit, you charge up your battery, you attach it to the 'tank' that holds your liquid, and that's more or less it. Adding the juice is easy - it's as simple as unscrewing a lid and pouring a small amount of liquid into the chamber. All the technical terms ARE confusing, I know, but I've spent the past 2 days reading everything I can find on the web about vaping, watching YouTube vids and so on, and it seems to me that it's a bit like buying a car - some people want to know what's under the bonnet, others just want to drive somewhere. I'm a driver, not a mechanic - I'd be happy in a Reliant Robin, so long as it got me where I wanted to go. Hence my starter kit. It works, and that's all I need to know for now. Go order the Riva - once you start using it, suddenly everything will make more sense Good luck!

Thanks again, will let you know how I get on and if you all dont mind being pestered with me asking a lot of questions if I get stuck filling etc, great x I was recommended the Riva and was quite anxious about clearos, cartos and suchlike! The videos are helpful and the clearos are the easiest to fill. RY4 is often recommended to newbies. You'll never get one that's exactly like a cigarette brand that you smoke. RY4 is a slightly sweet tobacco flavour with a background of caramel. Quite moorish. Best to buy 5ml sample flavours to start with until you know what you like. You may quaff but get some non tobacco ones - a fruity one, a sweet one and a menthol. You'll be surprised at how much you enjoy them and don't want or feel the need to taste tobacco. I never really liked menthol cigarettes but have a lovely menthol liquid that I really enjoy. If you order the Riva from Vapeescape, buying 4 5ml samples will take you over the £40 to get free delivery and if you enter 'allabout' at the checkout you'll get 10% off

Am I a numpty - or isn't the whole point of using a credit card to get protection?
I got duped into something years ago. I went into HSBC, spoke to someone and had all my money returned in under 5 minutes.
The contract can't be watertight....surely there's some hope?
