Ive been vaping a couple of months or so now and I'm surprised at how many people ask what I am " smoking" when I show them they are fascinated and I have to go through the flavours and that it isn't smoke, then I get asked the same questions..where did you get it and how much was it. I don't know anyone else who vapes and I can't understand why more advertising is done here to get people interested in vaping.

I've seen ads in the papers/mags from a few larger generic suppliers... I guess the main thing is that advertising something with the word "cigarette" in it may be seen by some as advertising a tobacco product (which it's not!) which would break the advertising laws and perhaps attract unwanted attention!

I can't see there not being some change to vaping as we know it Kev.
As for the promotion of ecigs, I've thought for a long time that it's a great shame vaping workshops aren't about for smokers looking for an alternative.

I think the government see it that its still nicotine and by vaping it will still get kids addicted to it. I've seen the odd advert in the papers but it looks more a of a gimmick, I don't know why more interest isnt shown via internet advertising in the UK and unless you know someone who vapes there isn't much chance of finding out about it.

I have yet to meet or see another vaper.
People i tell about it are quite pleasantly surprised and are clearly seeing one "live" for the first time.
Lack of advertising and getting the message out there through the mass media is keeping it underground.
It has such a quick effect on people that i can see it taking off big time in the future. The fact that sooooo many are already vaping away on all sorts of e cigs shows just how good it all is. And leads me to believe there is mass markets out there for e cig makers.
Celebrities are starting to use them. A lot of people will want to try it if only for that reason. ie, i must have one of them e cigs that sienna miller has.

Did anyone else see Dot Cottons new carer in Eastenders tonight with an E-cig, Dot asked her is that a cigarette, she said no "its a plastic one" lol, maybe this is where the storywriters bring in the ecig for Dot to use as she nearly burned down her house last week by leaving a lit ciggie in the ashtray while she went out, lets hope they do use the ecig on the soap, thats one way of getting mega publicity:)

The guy who runs our local dive centre is a vaper too, he's got a tornado tank. It makes a change to be able to swop ideas with someone face to face lol.
