Hi all...
Never posted in mixology before so bear with me.....
I've always bought ready mixed juices but now thought it was about time I gave mixing my own a try but being pretty clueless I'm a bit stumped on a couple of things.....
I have three capella flavourings in my cupboard that I'd like to try out but was wondering what else I need to get started ?
Am I right in thinking that a bottle of PG Platinum Ice from TW www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/platinum-titanium-ice/platinum-ice-54mg/50ml-platinum-ice-54mg-unflavoured-2-product.html is a good place to start ? And then get some VG from Tesco's Are these the three ingredients I need to get started and then just follow a mixing chart to get my required amount and mg level ?
Any help is greatly appreciated thank you , would love to try out mixing my own to try and save a few pennies

Hi Davey,
You'll need some nicotine base, VG and maybe PG (depending on the PG/VG ratio that you want to achieve). The VG from Tesco's will need thinned down with 10-15% deionised/distilled water. You may also find a selection of syringes and blunt needles, etc. useful for measuring and empty dropper bottles. There are also mixing calculators online to give you the ingredients for your mix based on your recipe parameters.

Davey - do yourself a massive favour and check out vendors like PostModernSmoking Post Modern Smoking and Leisure Liquids for much more competitive prices. They also sell everything else you will need for mixing, like syringes, nitrile gloves (nicotine at 5.4mg strength is highly toxic!) and spare bottles, etc.
I'm sure there are others here that will agree with me that TW are very expensive - the two companies mentioned above give great service and have a good stock of flavours too.
I personally prefer to mix using syringes rather than the drop method. I feel it gives me better accuracy, although precision doesn't bother me too much, and with a bowl of hot water at the ready it only takes a couple of seconds to rinse and flush them through between ingredients.
Have a good read of Grizwald's Guide to Mixing and you will have a much better idea of what's involved.
Finally, go on and have a go - it's a bit like cooking, there's no greater pleasure than vaping a tasty juice you mixed yourself!

Wow thanks guys for them speedy responses , you's really have gave me something to go on now...
Compared to them links then TW seems very pricey indeed.....
I think I'll start out like Vic did with the three small bottles and see if I can make a successful start into the mixing world.....
I wasn't aware of the above sites before so once again thanks for the heads up......x

Davey, you really can't go wrong, and you'll notice a big drop in your expenditure too. Try some of the other flavours, and remember you can always ask for help here. I'm a noob when it comes to mixing, but there are others here with much more experience who can point you in the right direction, be it a post, a link to a video tutorial, or another post elsewhere on the web.

Which one are you posting about vic, the 18ml ones?

hi roger yes but you do get 20ml in each i got the pg nic and pg and vg all from them all you need is flavouring you can do it by drops to start with and dont make too much of anything 5ml at a time tilll you get the hang of it and then pm me and i'll send you where i buy in bulk boots for your vg all the best if i can help let me know you can always send a pm i'll try my best to help . vic

Thanks vic, but I have been mixing my own liquid for nearly 2 years now!!! I was just after clarification of which stuff from cig-e you meant as your post wasn't too clear.
