Soon as you get it, download the MVR software from here www.joyetech.com/This will install on your pc which you can then load onto the evic. This latest update is far easier than the original, Gives better settings etc. Then just have a play, get used to what does what etc. Don't overtighten whatever you screw onto the head.

The one I am getting has been pre-owned for a week, will there be any problem with me resetting everything back to Zero/as new? Presumably I will be able to register it without any trouble?

You won't be able to go back to V1 firmware But you can reset all the puff counters if thats what you mean. Do you know if the firmware has been upgraded on the one you're getting?

Not sure bluemagnum, but I will reset everything that I can.....I would upgrade the software to Ver.1.2 if has not already been done. I wasn't sure if it was a bit like Microsoft software, whereby OEM versions cant be installed on other computers ??? Thanks for the advice.

I did'nt have a disc. Just downloaded it from joyetech and followed the destructions. When you plug it in, the pc will find it and you can give it a name.

Not sure if this takes it back to it's original version: www.joyetech.com/support/down_nr.php?id=20&k=2

So there wont be a problem if it has been registered on another PC? I watched a Youtube vid last night and it looked like each Evic has its own serial number showing on the software screen.

Yes it does but you don't need to register it in your name or anything.

I just plugged it in for the first time and just clicked upgrade too 1.2, and now i am just charging it, there is nothing really to do, no registration or anything, you can just fill in the details on the MVR software manually and then click modify. Very Very easy setup Some say it is too light, imo it's the perfect weight.

I've had mine about 6 weeks now, I've not hooked it up to the computer since the 1st week. Once i had the 1.2 FW installed, I just set it to show the voltage readings on screen, that's all i need from it. Any tweaks I just do on the menus on the Evic screen. Can't be doing with the puff counter stuff
