Just broke my Vamo. any ideas?

Had a new Nova I was trying out on it and knocked it over. It fell off the side and snapped the Nova off of the Vamo leaving the nova 510 thread inside.

Can't get a grip on it with pliers or anything. eGo type threads still work, but I cannot screw anything with a 510 thread into it.

any ideas on getting it out?

I know I could always buy a eGo to 510 adapter, but I'd raher be able to get the broken Nova thread out if possible?

That happened to me once, I was gutted as well, it was my first Nova tank. I managed to tease mine out, the threaded bit in the vamo wasnt too tight, not easy though. Sorry I cant help, no easy answer that I can think of

Cheers Robby I did think as much...trying to tease it out, but the SS threading part of the Vamo seems a little soft and being quite heavy handed I seem to be damaging it further. think the ego-510 adapter will be the only way to go...so it will still be useable, just not ideal.

Yes, I got lucky, it broke in a way that left me a bit of the threading that I could get a tiny watchmaker`s screwdriver on and push the threading slowly backwards. ah well, still usable. You`ll have to buy something else though ;-)))

Cant you find a bolt that would screw into the fitting, if you can then put some super glue on the bolt, screw back in and leave to dry, then unscrew.

I'm completely useless when it comes to mechanical stuff, so I can give you no suggestions, only sympathy

Only thing I can suggest is very carefully drill a small pilot hole in it and use the screw extractors mentioned earlier. Go careful though don't wanna ruin your vamo too!

i had a problem similar once on a car i was working on i super glued a piece of matal to the broken part and was able to unscrew it that way so long as its not too tight you should be able to manage it with a little care

Evic? Was playing around with one at the meet last night and I did like it although it does have the feel of a cheap toy.....I'm still tempted though.

That isn't a bad idea as it goes, but knowing me I'll end up gluing it in even more.

That looks like a very handy bit of kit to have around anyway for that price Simon. Cheers. Putting in an order for it now.

Worth a try, it wouldnt work in my case because the bit of the Nova tubing that was stuck inside was so thin that the extractor was trying to cut away the threading on the Vamo connector at the same time as trying to remove the Nova connector

The Nova is kapput though. It was brand new and I'd only had 2 pulls out of it.

It'd never happen with an Evod!!

If you have a pozi/philips watch size screwdriver, drill a small hole the size of the bit, and the cross on the end of the driver might bite? (Even a flat blade may work, s the bottom of the hole should be slightly tapered)

I'd not use glue as I'd definitely end up with a new appendage on it!

Tried superglue and it's not budging and I'm just damaging it more...it's still working on an evod, so think I'll leave well alone for now.
I'm hopeless at this sort of thing and honestly I have tried to be really gentle with it.

In fairness though the SS is as soft as butter.

The last thing I am putting on that is a drill if that's the damage I have done with just a pair of tweezers and a watch screw driver.
