It is very tempting though, so SS, no shorts, no oxidising

Has no one thought about contacting a local potter, the recipe for the clay mix is available,
If you had a kiln Im sure you could churn them out.

Well first attempt to make a 2.5ml wick was perfect until I went to wrap it and it snaped but thought the was still enough to work with popped some cotton around it then the coils and its working about the same as ss mesh I will try and bore my aga t2 wick hole out and try a thicker wick but at thi tim cant really see any advantages over ss mesh apart from the taste is slightly stroger but just slightly stronger will try and ad some pics later

Nice one marc, persevere mate, It`s taste and flavour I am wanting more off, I`ve been searching the garage, I could have sworn I had a few airstones there unused, not sure about the porosity of them though, Dremel`s on stand by

It works but needs improvement I have got room for a 4mm wick hole and in turn will make it closer to the centre post and got some ribbon kanthal on its way watch this space lol
