The Petar Kay method help

OK so I am trying this , but when I get the oxidizing bit with the wick on, the top wire burns through! Tried it 4 times same thing, what am I doing wrong????

Too far between the centre post and the actual coil?

you mean when you press the button on the battery ? is it V/V OR V/W . is it turned up to high , and is there any where where the wires are touching in the coil?

ahh just give it short blasts untill hot spot goes.

Nearly always a too tight coil when that happens to me. Try loosening it just a tad and or a few more juice burns on the wick.
