Eek... 2x1000mAH Tornado or eGo batteries (get 'em in a kit), 5xTornado or eGo mega tank atties, 5xTanks for them, and then, juice-wise, for cost-effectiveness, look at vapourworld.co.uk, uk-eliquid, vapeescapes and others around these parts - there are some very, very inexpensive juice vendors around at the mo. An example I've often given: I was a 60 a day, off-the-shelf man. Current cost is around £7.40 a pack, so that's more or less £22 a day. A week's worth would now cost me roughly £160. For two week's worth of fags, I could happily buy a high-end mod (let's say a fully tricked out GGTS/UFS), half a litre of RY4 and enough batteries and atomisers to get me through till the juice was done and beyond - and that would last me around two months. After that, it's just the juice and atomisers. And at £80 a half litre, it's hardly even worth doing the sums for the per day cost - you'd spend way more on a pint of Diet Coke in a pub these days! Where do you get the RY4 from? I can't see it anywhere near that price.

Thanks again for the info, half a litre comes to around £110 on there. I'll wait for my e-lite to arrive, then probably plump for the Riva some time next week. Although there's so much info on the site, I'm getting confused with all the possibilities!

The more you hang out here the more you learn.
You have my sympathies buddy. But trust me. You will learn it. It's just all so new to you at the moment.

I started off with a ecig like the one they had on groupon! AND! I was soon addicted! Got better kits now (have to try everything me) Saved over £1000 from NOT smoking (as per my quit counter) BUT perhaps spent £600ish on my e cig addiction!! BUT - it's healthier, and I do prefer the ecigs now!

Strange isn't it Holycow, I wouldn't even think to touch a analogue now, and to think I was on them for 36 years! Can't stand the smell of them now.

Hi Red, welcome to AAEC! I have a Riva and it's a great kit. I also have a few other bits and bobs. I've spent about £170 over the last month on e cig stuff but most of that was on extra stuff I didn't need. I still have a ton of e juice left and I'm probably about £50 up on what I would have spent on real cigs.

I prefer the ecigs now Dee! Struggled when I was on the cheap cig like ones - but since having a decent kit I have never looked back! Next on my list is either the provari or the GG
Tried to link this to Dee's post! dunno what I did wrong!

I agre with Delboy, at first it seems expensive to get started, buying a decent e-cig in your first priority then liquids and accessories, look at what the suppliers have to offer in this forum. Once your up and running the costs drop considerably and thats when you see the difference financially. Healthwise will come a little later when you have got rid of most of the tar and after a while you will wonder why you even touched one of thoes cancer sticks.

That's the place - you do need to do a special order with Paula, though - I'm hoping she'll put the 500ml RY4 on the site as a normal item.

Well, got my E-lites in the post today.
Obviously can't comment too much at the moment, but I'm reasonably happy with them. Only had 1 manual since lunchtime - just to see if I was missing them or not!
Not keen on the taste much, but it's bearable - it's almost a nutty taste, but I can't quite put my finger on what it reminds me of.
It would be handy these things had some sort of puff counter, as it's so easy just to sit and puff away, losing track of how many fags-worth you've had!
Will get through the cartridges then think about upgrading

Nice one Redcard - you're up and running then.
I worried at first about how many carts i was going through. Then i just thought sod it. I'll use as many as i need to keep me from smoking. It's worked so far. And i would say my vaping has calmed down into a pattern.

Glad to hear they have arrived Red.
Del is right, don't worry about how "how many fags-worth" you have had.
