HI from an overly excited new vaper

I don't know if you have ever "used drugs" but I have, a long time ago and in another country.
From what I remember, these were smoked in a cigarette or baked into May & Baker Cake Mix.
I doubt if anyone thought I was "Using Drugs" because I was smoking or eating cakes.

People see me out and about using a variety of strange looking pipes and I can assure you that even if they don't know what it is I am using, they are certainly not jumping to the conclusion that I am taking drugs.
Most will have heard of e-cigs by now and if someone has been bold enough to ask me what it is, invariably it has been, "Is that one o' they e-cig thingies"?

The point I try to make is that if I am not smoking a cigarette, then I am not going to appear to be smoking a plastic fag.
I am vaping and so I make darned sure folks know that I am vaping by using something that looks nothing like a cigarette or anything that could be conceived as looking like a cigarette.

If any Mum looks at you and sees you vaping in the car with the kids, they will think a lot more highly of you if they know that you are not smoking in your childrens company.

lobey, Sorry if I offended. I wasn't saying that was my only reasoning but some of the mothers at my children's school will think at anything odd is wrong. Its a school mum thing. But I was also meaning because I smoke in my car I don't really want to have a manual cig, also I was thinking that in the initial change over might be hard to trick my self in to thinking it was a cig.
Any how have now been vaping all week and am happy with my little kit, might change some time, but its aright for me, a day and a half to a charge. Very happy with my 0 nic aniseed balls for an anytime vape, and surprised by the baked Alaska that was my freebie from paradise vape coming above my amber leaf for something stronger.
I have had a couple of rollies, almost just to check that I don't really want one, and to make this a I'm just not smoking around the kids thing (much easier to quit if your not quiting I find)
Even looks like my dad (a heavy smoker) will be joining me in the world of vape.
So Thank you all for your welcomes and I'll be around, though quiet, as am a busy mum at the moment,

My goodness me Lass, your not offeding me!

My way of looking at vaping is that if I am going to Vape, then there is no way that I want folks thinking that I am smoking, or even "playing" with a Plastic Fag.

When people see me in the street or in the car vaping, they know I am not smoking. They may not know what I am doing, but they can clearly see that whatever I am doing, I ain't smoking a fag.

Now to be perfectly honest, perhaps 6 months or a year ago they may have thought I was on the Wacky Baccy, but due to recent TV Ads and newspaper articles, I reckon they are more likely to think I am using an e-cig, even if my prefered e-cig these days is looks more like a sci-fi zap gun that has been chromium plated.

There are 10 million smokers in the UK today and by this summer they reckon that 1 million of them will have turned to vaping.
You and I and the rest on here are the first of many and someday, probably sooner than we think, e-cig vapers will be the norm and and fag smokers will be the odd balls that people look at and whisper about!

This might sound a bit daft, but I get a real kick out of vaping outside. Especially if others around me are smoking.

Chrissie is correct. It will take Boge Cartomisers and you can put a fancy drip tip on top if you wish.

Held in your hand, no one can see what it is and by carrying different cartomisers with you, you can enjoy different flavours of whatever takes your fancy.

I have just measured mine and the battery part is just 43mm long. With the cartomiser that comes with it, it's overall size is just 8cm.
With a Boge on it it is slightly longer at 8.5cm.

For a bit of "stealth Vaping" the SDkey ring is a cracker.

I smoke my Riva in the car and have no problem with the manual aspect - something a bit smaller would probably be a easier, but I'm managing fine so haven't got round to buying a smaller battery. So much safer than smoking a real cig in the car - no lighter to contend with, no ash to drop off, no lit end to fall in your lap or blow back through the window.

Well, speaking personally, I can't see how anybody would be "weird" about someone puffing away on a mini ego (or Vision crystal) with an EVOD on the end. I was tooting on this set up in a church hall about 2 hours ago.
