They think they have the PG VG products cornered everything from ass lube to hair gel.
They dont wont you making anything if they can make it for you, at a profit of coarse.

Chemists arent what they used to be, they dont even stock litmus paper or make anything on site.
Its all done elsewhere and ordered in like ordering a car part at the local car parts shop.
Better of using ebay and leave them to selling cosmetics and toiletries.

I have PG from eBay, I'm just trying to save Matt1988 of buying 5 litres

I wasn't going to use it all, as it would last me over 5 years. Just thought someone would be interested in cheap PG!

Erm, my PG turned up, but I'm unsure if I've ordered the right one. It's propylene glycol, not glycerol! Or is it the same?

Shit, it's not the same! I have now inadvertently ordered an ingredient of anti-freeze and not a food preservative.

Oh well lesson learned, will have to order the right one now

PG is Propylene Glycol.  Glycerol is also known as glycerine etc and is VG

Oh ok, so propylene glycol and glycerol/glycerine is the 2 bases for our mixes.

So we are putting an antifreeze ingredient into our VP's. But I suppose it is only an ingredient and that ingredient is also used in many other products.

Yes, just because it is an ingredient doesnt make it bad, it`s an ingredient in thousands of things, just like water is
One of it`s properties is that it doesnt freeze easily, freezing point of PG is very much lower than water, hence it`s use in anti freeze

Ahhh ethylene was previously used in antifreeze and was the thing that made it dangerous! As that's not used anymore it is safer
