Try getting chesteeze of them--I dare you. When I used to smoke I always got a chest infection in winter and Chesteeze was the only thing that would stop the wheezing, everytime I got these from boots I felt like I was scoring drugs on a street corner. The amount of questions and funny looks just to get one pack of pills. Then again I did have a few of them one night with some cans of lager and can remember my heart racing and me singing 'I can breath clearly now', but I won't go there.

I had the same issue when trying to by ISo alcohol. They got really shirty and said due to eu regs they can't sell it as I might be drinking it. I can understand someone explaining a new law or policy, its the arsey manner in which they say it. Any way, the mood I was in that day, I ripped their head if and spat at them with battery acid.

It's one thing to ask but the "on this occasion" bit is jobsworthy plus. If they worked for me and I caught them talking to a customer that way, I'd have a serious talk with them as to whether they really wanted to work in retail. Typical UK sadly.

i told them i was making bubbles for the kids 200mls to 5 litres of water and washing up liquid. i bought 3 at a go then went in a couple of days later but they only had one on the shelf so bagged that. best blag it if buying more than one or two! Whats the exact recipe please? My kids love bubble making and I'd love to have loads of the stuff.

Boots are a nightmare nothing would surprise me with them!
The chemist in our local Boots treated me like a junkie begging for heroin after I had a severe asthma attack and ran out of inhalers a few months ago. Told me in front of a shop full of people I should be more careful and refused to give me an emergency spare even though my new prescription was due 1 day later and probably already in their shop!
The ambulance guys and A&E dept weren't too impressed when they had to look after me later and found out the reason why I didn't have an inhaler that would have taken care of the attacks without the need for an ambulance call out!
Apparently Boots had no right to refuse me in the first place so I happily passed on their address and tel no to a rather annoyed doctor who couldn't believe they could be so stupid! Wouldn't be so bad if it was a one off but one of my friends got the same deal at a different branch when her bag was stolen with her medication in it..

I think it best to say you are using it to wash down the 1,000 paracetamol you bought from them last week when the snotty woman nobody likes was serving. P45, anyone?

The last time I bought it in Boots I got 2 bottles and wasn't asked what I was buying it for. Depends on the assistant I s'pose, this one was a girl in her early 20's at a guess.

The nearest Boots to me is 15mls off, so that problem doesn't arise. I usually buy my VG in my local pharmacist, usually 150mls, but last time I was in they had 500ml bottles for just a couple of quid. PG is from ebagum though, as nobody has it near here.
