Hah; there's an irony. I used to make biodiesel and as a souvenir of that time I have probably 500L of VG, but it's heavily contaminated and just not worth purifying. Makes wonderful stove fuel, though.

...and soap for oily hands. I still make biodiesel but getting really hard to get the waste veggie oil around here.

Most of the Glycerine you buy now comes from Biodiesel production.

Bath bombs are citric acid mixed with sodium bicarbonate. Essential oils are added as well.

Must be something about the sort of staff that work in a chemist. My brother and sister in law came for Easter with my little niece. So I hi-me-ed down to Superdrug to buy a potty. They were out of stock and the assistant suggested I try boots. I mean what good is that? It would be sure to leak out of the lace holes.

Boots are a real nightmare in most cases, especially where prescriptions are concerned. I needed compression stockings a couple of years ago following a nasty bout of septicemia and had a prescription for 2 pairs....they wanted to charge me for 4 individual stockings even though they come in boxes of 2. My doctor went nuts over the phone at them.

I always get my ventolin inhalers from a local chemist, and he even lets me have spares while waiting for my repeat prescription to arrive...I tend to lose mine at work quite frequently

I don't know about all this bad feeling towards Boots, this is the kind of thing they can do for us, as they did for my pal Bob:

Bob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, were all excited about their decision to get married. They went for a stroll to discuss the wedding, and on the way they passed a Boots pharmacists. Bob suggests they go in.

Bob addresses the man behind the counter: "Are you the owner?"
The Pharmacist answers, "Yes."

Bob: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"
Pharmacist: "Of course we do."

Pharmacist: "Definitely."

Bob: "Everything for heartburn and indigestion?"

Bob: "You sell wheelchairs and walkers and canes?"
Pharmacist: "All speeds and sizes."

Bob: "In that case, we'd like to use this store for our wedding presents list."
