At least you've posted on their forum reasonably recently MarkS , which is more than I can say for anyone else I know.

Mark if you have the time i think you would make a good representative ,you have demonstrated your passion by raising this issue and taking the time to write a post,i don't think we need a vape veteran or mod just someone who is interested in doing it. you get my vote if you do want to do it I would do it in a heartbeat Andy , but as I have said I'd feel I'm selling it short and also getting a bit above my station. If I was to nominate mods it would be either Simate, Jess or Karma. I think someone with a few years vaping and at least 6 months of frequenting the boards would be a wiser choice. They will be speaking for everyone after all. The buzz that is going around on other forums, I'd feel that this AGM could well be make or break for ECCA imo. The force is strong in this one You would have my vote Mark and you know your stuff

Mark, if you have the time to take it on, then you would be a great choice, as you certainly have the passion & knowledge.
I would count myself out, as it's down to ability, confidence & time, all three of which, I have very little.

To be fair Perpetua with the greatest respect, I think we all have commitments in Real Life.
The ECCA post regarding nominations suggested Moderators on forums put forward a representative.
It needs everyone pulling in the same direction to make it work and although by the change in language from the EU our individual voices are making a difference, I think a consumer group with weight of members (no matter how active) behind it could make a huge difference.
All I was pointing out is if we all just carry on like it doesn't matter then this place won't require moderation as it won't exist if the proposal goes through as it stands. There will be no need for it. What would AAEC be recommending? The best chemist to buy your carto's from?
Sorry if the above comes across as blunt, but we all have a lot to lose. No one is immune from it.
I'll happily represent this forum at the ECCA AGM and I truly am flattered that people feel I am capable of doing so, but honestly that was not my intention on posting this. I really did think someone else would step forward.
If Chrissie is happy with me doing so, then I'll make a new thread on what members would like to be put forward at the AGM regarding which direction they feel ECCA should be going in.
Again I appreciate the support so far.

As the current AAE-C ECCA forum rep, I'm quite happy to nominate anyone who would like to be nominated. ECCA has been to quiet for too long now, last years AGM was supposed to be at Vapefest and was cancelled and very little has been organised since. Unfortunatly due to the structure of ECCA if the chairman is unavailable for a little while things can slow down dramatically. Communication is picking up again now though, through the facebook page and I hope the monthly meetings are to restart again. When I first took the position of forum rep I was given the job description of "Basically, your job is to tell ECCA what your forum members want done. Also, to contribute ideas and assistance, if possible.", "Attend the committee meetings. These are about once a month". Not overly taxing or time consuming to be honest, even before the 8 month break. So if anyone thinks they can do that then I'm happy to recommend you, doesn't matter if you have been here a month or a year, its all about the passion. If you want to do even more, or a skill that you think may be useful then I'm sure ECCA would love to have you on board. Anyone fancy being treasurer ?

I never knew you was the forum rep for AAEC Jemima and from the replies received in this thread, it would appear not many other members or moderators did either. This is one of the main problems I have witnessed to date. No one seems to be on the same page and that is one of the most important things that needs addressing for me. You are right communications are improving via Facebook, but unfortunately not all forum members use Facebook. I only found out about the nominations via Facebook and the ECCA forum, so posted it over here in the hope someone would take up the reigns. The post on FB had been up for over a week and yet there was no post on here about. I've also offered assistance to ECCA, via their forum and on UKV chat directly to Sam. Not had so much as a response from either. Personally I think that if you are already the representative and have the experience then you are most likely the best candidate to carry on doing so. I PM'd Chrissie on here about doing it, as I would not take up that position without her say so, but have not had a response yet. The AGM is in 5 days and time is running out, so if we have a rep in place then best to go with how it is. Are you going to make a post asking what AAEC forum members would like discussed? As for being a treasurer, what would that entail? As I've said on numerous occasions and on my post on the ECCA forum and to Sam, I am willing to help in anyway I am capable of doing so.

Mark, I'm more than happy for you to be an AAE-C forum rep (as well as Jemima of course).

Don't think I've read a by-law that says there can't be 2 reps ECCA has been extremely quiet for well over 8 months now, so theres been very little ECCA postings from me, which is prob why no one knew I existed. I did make a thread mentioning the AGM and then reminding about it with a link to this thread, lots of views, no comments Although I didn't specifically ask for suggestions about discussion topics. Which I shall now go do as well Plus I am prob a bit crap at the job to be honest lol
