Further to my Spinner v. Twist thread, can anyone please define the difference between VV and VW - we can't understand the difference, although I have a Vamo and use VW exclusively! Thanks in advance Andy

Variable voltage means you adjust the voltage - If you put a 2 Ohm coil atty on it'll run at the voltage you set it to - if you put a 3 Ohm coil atty on it'll run the same voltage through that atty. Variable wattage means if you set it to say 8 Watts it'll run a certain voltage through a 2 Ohm atty and a different voltage through a 3 Ohm atty automatically adjusting your vape to 8 watts for you. Hope that helps

I think i can mate.example 5v using 2.8ohm atty works ok no burnt taste but change atty to a lower resistance say 1.4ohm you get horrible burnt taste because voltage is too high for atty.Watts is different say you set to 8w when you change atty from your 2.8ohm to your 1.4ohm it adjusts the voltage down automatically because of the resistance change.

The names are a bit misleading, VV isnt really variable, it`s fixed to whatever you set it to no matter what atomizer coil resistance you put on it. VW will adjust the voltage on the fly if you change atomiser resistance so that you get the same power output and pretty much the same vape experience. It does that by measuring the resistance of the atomiser and adjusting the voltage to produce that same power level.
Clear as mud eh? lolol
but VV is just the same as VW if you never change atomisers because it will still always give you the same power because the resistance hasnt changed...............................there, that`s better lololol

Think of setting the wattage like setting the cruise control on a car, you set the power (speed) and no matter what the resistance (up hill or down) the device will adjust it's voltage (revs) to suit, keeping you at your desired power (speed).

Clear as mud eh? lolol That's true but Variable voltage is variable - all be it manual - in terms you can adjust it - Adjustable wattage is variable in the same way but the voltage is set automatically for you to that wattage - you could argue variable voltage adjusts the wattage automatically to ensure you get the correct voltage

An Ego 900mah is a true Variable Voltage device, only it`s a mystery VV, the more you use it the more it changes, always downwards though Ref the Smilies? How long is a piece of string? Spanner thrown back at denis9t9 - 15 all................lolol

Seriously robby ca'nt wait for vamo's to arrive son in law still in china due home end of April. As i change my atties during the day for various flavours i could set the watts & basically get the same vape, i use vivi nova,ce4 & carto tanks at the moment until the rebuidables arrive with vamo's? By the way he tried to get me an Evic but suppliers would not sell at discount because of Joyetech restrictions, dame & blast. Min sorted us out with supplies in china with good discounts though.

Excellent Denis, he is having a lot of trouble getting anyone to supply him with a decent device. They are all scared of him ignoring the MRP, it seems to be a recurring thing now with Innokin Joyetech etc, so it looks like there wont be another "VAMO" type bargain there in the not too distant future
