aww no don't do that, block one of the holes up on the threaded tube. I've tried. Blue tac, glue, special-made sponge washer.....every ****** last thing. Just tried something with mine, I blocked off all three holes, still too much air really, most of it is coming up through the bottom of the thread where the centre connector is You are not going insane djs

If you want to try it, what I did was to wrap about three turns of cotton around the bit where the holes are, fairly tight, then screw it on to the device while holding the thread in place. Try it, you might like it, it is a much tighter vape now, cold metallic taste has reduced a lot. Drip tip is warming up quicker as well.
Maybe they have made it so airy to reduce the risk of leaks from too much suction pressure, but so far so good.
If you suck on the drip tip after you have put the cotton on while the atty is off the device you can see how much air is getting in. If you then put your finger over the end of the connector tube the air is barely flowing.

Hi all, i got a pin and some super glue (has to be the super glue gel, ease of applying) disassemble the head from the base, put the tiniest amount of the gel glue on the end of a pin, apply into one or two of the holes carefully (i have done two holes, because i like a tight draw) leave to dry BINGO A NICE TIGHT DRAW, the draw now is about the same as my iclear30. I cant say how long it will last but it's working for me now, because before it was way to airy (like sucking on a whistle) Im sure there may be a number of other good ways to mod it as robbys suggestion above, but this worked for me and thought i may aswell share it.

I would be interested to know what you think of the draw, maybe a bit too tight?

I agree with the abouve, but finding it to airy for me. have you tried a touch of blue tac bomberharris, there are three holes round the connector tube, god knows why. I have two blocked off, much better Honestly robby you are a one, where there is a will there is a way you will find it.

robbyTried 3 holes blocked and my inside of my cheeks are touching think i will go back to two holes before i hahahaha. I think whatever way the atty connects to my Vamo leaves a bit more room for air to get it that yours does maybe. If you block the holes and then try the airflow off mod, you will see how much gets in that way

robbyAfter numerous messing around with different mm wicks and wires i have finally found my perfect vape from the Protank Used 3mm wick with no strand on top (it weakens the vape for me) and covered 2 holes with no nails using a pin. Works a treat

After numerous messing around with different mm wicks and wires i have finally found my perfect vape from the Protank Used 3mm wick with no strand on top (it weakens the vape for me) and covered 2 holes with no nails using a pin. if I get over my depression with this device of the sadist vaping gods, I will try using 3mm wick. I'm guesssing "no nails" is glue. I've blocked up two with glue already. I used to think thick wick was bad and when compressed didn't absorb liquid very well, but thinking about it, the octopus RDA has 8 wicks crammed into a regular diameter coil and wicks great. The standard evod replacement head has a shorter and thinner tube.....has anyone tried it? I know robby spotted you can swap over the tubes, which is great, but I'm wondering if if thinner tube might be good? I suppose I could give it a go with 1-2ml of my least favourite juice.....might learn something....??

djsTry it with 3mm wick and coil with 0.2 kanthal and try and go for 1.9ohms - 2.0ohms (Tightish wrap but not too tight), do NOT put any extra strands on top of the coil, it ruins the vape imo. Yep no nails is glue, just filled 2 holes.

Update: 5hrs in and still no sign of leaking or gurgling with leaving out the strand on top of the wick and it's still vaping like a trooper

Just won one of these at the London & SE meet I actually like the airy draw, but it is awful noisy, particularly on my Vamo (didn't notice it in the pub - well, you wouldn't would you - or I'd have asked someone there). Is there anything I can do about that?
