I have ordered PG. 500ml I will get menthol crystals and VG tomorrow. Do I have to make a concentrate with menthol or can I just mix direct. Still am unsure of measurments as all other recipies use nicotine so that is kinda throwing me Good news. There's no reason why you can't just put some crystals in your mix, but it's unbelievably strong stuff. I guess people make a bottle of crystals already dissolved in PG to make it a bit more predictable. Also, as it's strong, we are talking using drops not ml of your homemade menthol concentrate. For example, if you want to make 10ml of zero nic juice, you could just use 5ml of PG, 5ml of VG and drop in 10 drops. I made a second batch last night. 15ml PG, 5 ml VG, 30 drops of Menthol. excellant that kinda makes more sense to me now. Thanks

excellent that kinda makes more sense to me now. Thanks I may not be quite right about all these things, but using a mixing calculator is almost essential to make a certain strength of nicotine e-liquid. The good thing about what you're mixing is you don't need to worry about base (nic) liquid or even the % of flavouring. I make up 18mg nicotine menthol without the calculator, but most flavours are difficult to get right. As soon as you start thinking 17% citrus flavour (as an example), 20% VG etc the maths gets too important to just guess.

Ha ha now you have lost me again I know, I should quit while I'm ahead. Ignore my "thoughts". Just make up your liquid and either drop in some crystals or make a bottle of concentrate and drop that in! You really can't go wrong, except making too strong.....

Sorry for being a newbie pain It's in the Home Baking aisle as a rule Cas, with the cake decorations and such like. Dinky bottle as with home bake flavourings. Though, it is a very expensive way of buying VG, you'd do much better to nip into a Boots or a chemist and pick up a bottle of their VG.

Hi Cas just ask for a bottle of Glycerin. I got mine in Boots for £1.29 for 250mls, you could also try Lloyds or any independent chemists. They sell it for sore throats and the like. Try in the cough mixture section

Still awaiting my PG to arrive in the post. I bought a bottle of glycerine today but am now finding it difficult to get the menthol crystals.

as i now only make my juice with VG, (though i do have my nic in a PG solution) was thinking maybe dissolve the menthol crystals in vodka as it recrystallises in the VG, will have to give it a go unless any of you have already tried it and can save me the effort

Vodka will work if you don't have any plain PG Aus, crush the crystals up first for a better result. Although you could use a small amount of your PG nicotine base, and take into account the nicotine content when you add it to a mix.
