Simple cheap zero nic menthol

I want to mix my own for the first time.
Is it just PG & VG I need 50/50 of each and menthol crystals.
I think I can get all of these in Boots am I right ?
Do I ask for PG & VG or something else and did I read that they are arsey about giving them out asking questions etc what should I say I need them for if this is true.

I don't know if you can get PG from Boots.

VG is glycerine. I get mine from the Tescos cooking ingredients section. Boots sell it to soothe sore throats I think. Menthol is cold-related of course - disolve it in hot water and inhale the vapour to clear your nose - about the one ingredient which has been exhaustively tested.

The Crystals dissolve best in PG, so I'd do that first and then add your VG . . . you won't find it easy buying PG ' off the peg ', you'd find it easier to buy that online from from one of the Vendors selling DIY supplies.

Just had a quick look on the Boots website, it says menthol crystals are available online if I have a prescription - do I need one in-store??

Thanks Perps, it's just I'm off out to Boots in a bit and thought I could stock up. The F'arts menthol I have isn't that great, I'd like more of a kick! I'll ask 'em anyway whilst I'm there, can always buy online if they won't give me any

Having read this, I reckon I might give some menthol crystals a go. I've nearly finished my flavourart menthol concentrate but have plenty of PG/VG and nic base left.

Sounds easy enough....just got to make the concentrate......

It really is a doddle Djs . . . deciding how many Crystals to add to your PG is probably the hardest part, they are pretty potent so less is more til you find the strength that works for you.

I got my crystals from Boots without a prescription. Think it was on the shelf. Dinky little white tub.

Well, 4 chemists later.......

I got the last 5mg Crystals "tub". I've filled a 10ml bottle up to third/half way with the crystals and then filled to the top with PG. Must be about 6-7ml PG.

Once they are dissolved, that will be my concentrate.

From that point onwards, I have no idea..... ???

Well done Djs . . . try a few drops at a time added to your Nicotine base/VG, the effect is pretty much immediate so you'll be able to judge whether you need more or not.

The concentrate will be very, very powerful - won't it? I think I'll go with 2 or three decent drops in 5ml to start.

UPDATE;

I ended up putting 20 drops (from the recycled JacVapour 10ml bottle = my Menthol concentrate) in 5ml of unflavoured mixed e-liquid. 80/20 16mg.

Excellent. Really enjoyable - success.

Next time more VG.

I made some concentrate with Pg and a few menthol crystals and added just 3 drops to some 'orrible juice that I had mixed and hey presto it's vapable

Hmmmm I skim read this post ...missed out the part that made it obvious it was a concentrate mix ....nearly blew my head off .....sinuses will be clear for some time tho .........
