Some vendors really rip it with postal charges, I avoid those ones.

No worries Adam, c9v and vendors like them forget who makes them what they've become today. Can't stand that type of arrogance.

pretty sure a slim little charger could be sent as a large letter?
keef @ vapegear sent me a fairly heavy UDT-L mod and the envelope was stamped £1.20

yes both those I stated are 2nd class, first class is £3.00 and £4.10 signed for. They haven't just changed the pricing small parcels are only covered to £20 now unless you use the signed for service which is up to £50.

Small parcels are anything over 25 mm thick.
So if it's just a ego charger, you could probably send it large letter ie., £1.00 as it should weigh less than 100 grams.

Whilst some vendors do take the piss, we have to remember that vendors are real people with real bills to pay (mortgages, wages, premises etc), Im pretty sure I wouldnt want to spend hours every day wrapping, labelling (especially the care that goes into c9v packaging) for free, postage prices are one thing but then packaging isnt free either, nor is time. Nor fuel. Also vendors are forced to use signed for delivery as there are too many free riders that allegedly dont receive goods.
People that offer free postage with inferior packaging have usually inflated their prices elsewhere, no such thing as a free lunch.

No one expects free postage, just fair prices. C9v prices are not the cheapest, but their p&p is a joke for small items. very true Skwoddy, I agree with you but at the end of the day, for a little charger I would have paid £2.50 postage without being too bothered (probably double what it would cost them) and would go back for other things in the future. ...but £5? they've lost a customer I'm afraid

I think personally I would have sent an email to enquire, Keith and Lisa are usually very accommodating.
