There we go one tasty vape. Nothing groundbreaking but can taste my flavour lovely and no metal taste. I think my shorts was were the wick goes through the wick hole. Just moved it with my finger and it started working, no bad taste. Happy!! How long should this wick last? Not looking forward to doing this again, didn't take me this long learning to drive lol

The more mature your wick is the better tasting it will get, so well done mrbee, success at last, you'll be doing U-Wicks next or how about a Hybrid mesh setup?

There's one more tip I forgot to mention and that's the rizla paper method, but now you've got your first successful wick going, I'll leave that for another day

Not looking forward to doing this again, didn't take me this long learning to drive lol I was going to suggest nudging the wick slightly away from the post, so it tightens the coil...........but it seems you may have cracked it.....it's fiddly, but once you've got there it's worth it........... I only use rebuildables now & have novas, kangers etc sitting in my box gathering dust.

You're trying to oxidise it too much. Cut your mesh 40 x 60 whatever it is and torch it flat. Grab a small corner with pliers and heat one side, flip it and do the other. repeat this then roll it. Make sure it fits the hole & the length is right then give it one quick burn when it's rolled. Cover it in some juice and set fire to it, let it burn out on it's own. Coil it, fit it and off you go.

Very good video, that was where I first seen it myself, not a bad method, but I had to make sure all my coils were lined up correctly when I did it this way, other wise the paper ripped when I tried to move the wire about.

The rizla method is using 1 wrap, so tiny amount of cig paper round your wick were it goes through the top cap & were the coil is going to go, it helps to insulate against shorts . . . . but TBH I think it's more to do with the Sigelie electronics. I've got 2 sigelie zmax & both are incredibly sensitive to a new wick, & that's on the Aga's or OH's Cobra. I get round it by testing the coil first with a multimeter then I run the first half tank or so through it using a mini LT. Once you've run the wick in there shouldn't be any problems. I've been on this current wick for about 5/6 weeks now & recoiled it probably about as many times cos I use a heavy gunking juice, ( I recoil & give the wick a clean when I can no longer see the individual coil wraps clearly) & apart from the initial setup recoiling now takes a couple of mins with absolutely no problems. So it might not have been your coiling skills but the sensitivity of your mod, always handy to have something completely different to test stuff on & if they all say the same thing then you now it's you
