is it brass under the chrome on a Protank Robby? I'm surprised you haven't worked your magic on it yet

Brilliant Robby very very nice camera shots and detail.1 question the original head has a couple of loose wicks resting above the coil I presume to help wicking does this need to be done with your set up or is your wick 2mm or 3mm silica and does that stop any potential gurgling or flooding? Cheers mate It vapes better without the extra strands on top but if they aint there the condensation can get to the battery easier, if you leave them out i would suggest leaving the Protank upside down overnight so the condensation leaks out of the drip tip. Thanks for the tip mate.

An excellent guide, I personally prefer this type of tutorial as opposed to a video. Are you going to do one for the iclear 30? I had a quick look at one when I first got one and thought I wouldnt, but I might do one now when a coil pops, I agree, I prefer pics, you get a much clearer idea what needs done with no rewinding of the vid etc. Gasper

Superb work Robby What next, maybe a dual coil for the tank?? I still cant get a warm enough tobacco flavour on it flat out on the Vamo or the Itaste, that`s a big lump of brass on the top of that thing to warm up, might be worth trying a double on it mike weaver93

Update. After leaving it overnight, it is gurgling a bit. So I have returned it to it`s original state. 1. Remove the silicone cap over the coil. 2. Cut a piece of wick the same length as is in the coil. 3. Lay it in the slot, directly above the coil 4. Replace the silicone cap and re-assemble the Protank (important that it is seated correctly) The gurgling has stopped and vaping well. I think the VG/PG ratio is going to be important in this, when I filled it last night it was a 80/20 PG/VG mix and quite thin and runny. The wick size that you use will probably have a bearing on the gurgling. I would tend towards the thicker wick. I will monitor it again today and update as necessary

I will monitor it again today and update as necessary I have been using 2mm Glass firbe wick from C9 with 2 strands on top for two days now since the gurgling happened to me, it's a bit of both, juice and condensation and it is now perfect, vapes really well. Also i have just one hole covered, it seems to be less airy the more you use the tank...must be maturing with old age
