The coil is lifted away from the air hole & I'm using a metal tip....Maybe it's an airlock, although I've stripped it 3 times now & it's still not drawing.......

I've used one of the ready coiled wicks that came with it, although I spaced out the coils first........maybe I'll try coiling one myself...wasting juice right left & centre where I keep taking it apart....good job I mix my own.............

It's certainly worth trying your own coil on it. Take a look at the UKV post that jeff linked to in post 162 ^^^

Chris, just try a hard pull without firing it, it does sound like an air lock. Are you getting any dry hits or burnt taste?

Right....think I may have sussed it....I've set up the original Dream that I got with the co-op buy, but I fitted it with the new cone & it vapes fine........I dismantled the new one & it looks like the air hole in the base was blocked with a fragment of swarf....I've cleared the air hole now & will set it up & try it again tomorrow.

Quick update - filled the Dream twice (so 3ml LoL) through the new fill hole (on it's side) using a Spiky Thing - and not a drop in the bottom section - so an iGo screw seems to work and liking the better arflow too

Problem solved. The air hole was blocked with swarf.............There is still a marked difference in vape between the original Dream & this SS one though & it's down to the air hole in the base....The original Dream air hole is considerably bigger & in my opinion gives a much better vape....More taste & more vapour...Gonna have to see about drilling it out a bit I reckon....Also, These tiny pins are going to prove a nuisance......I haven't actually got fat fingers, but I do have rough 'workmans' hands & I've managed to lose 2 of the buggers already.....Any ideas on a replacement?

Love it
Click pic for a bigger one. I changed the smoked tube for an old Nova one and wet and dried the scale off, then polished it up with brasso, takes a while but the finish on the tube ends up perfect. The coil popped on me this morning so I put two of vaporbreaks ready made ones in. I kept them as close together (without touching) as I can and just above the airhole. It is quite a free vape. Rather than block off the hole near the bottom, I am going to try something in the drip tip area. If you block off the bottom one I think it will change the pressure difference between the outside of the chamber and the inside of the chamber, maybe end up sucking gurgling? Just my thoughts. If I can do something at the other end (drip tip side), it shouldnt affect that at all. The premade coils seem to me just as effective as the supplied ones. They are giving me 1.4 ohms and wicking perfectly. I like the small pins and there seems to be enough room down there to get two wires in and still get a good solid connection. It certainly is a great atty!!!

If you get chance Robby, care to take some pics of your setup?
I've rewicked about 10 times and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm getting zero flavour.
Wasted so many wicks and so much juice ill give it one more go then give up.
