Can't you just wrap rez wire around that ridge (vamo side) Tried that already. There is virtually no gap to fit anything in, you can feel the two parts sliding together as you insert it (ooooer). Its NOT enough of a contact however for the Vamo to work. If I twist the cap at a slight angle to force it harder against the tube it turns on...well flashes 3 times anyway.

is it the ss version or chrome ? if it's the chrome you could use some solder if you filed a section of chrome off the connection.

If it was me, I would very slightly deform the tube, so it was an interference fit and then use a couple of drops of superglue on each side as I said before.

I'd stand it upright and put a tinny dent in the top of the tube with a chisel, You would have to watch out you dont make it egg shape or you'd have bigger problems than you started with, A little burr/bump should be enough to wedge it back on.

How about using some tin foil between the two parts?

if it's the ss version as des said above use some foil, or even a thin connector out of a battery holder, something like that and wedge it in.

Tried a plethora of metallic stuffs wedged in, the fit is very smooth and just pushes them out or cuts them off. Deformation is the last option if I can't find a cost effective conductive glue for 4 dibs of it

Long shot...................give the top of the tube a tap so it very slightly deforms it into an oblong, then at the widest point of the oblong hang a couple of bits of kanthal on each side, or even one on each side and see if the top would go on without cutting the kanthal, like I said, a bit of a longshot. If it works, do it again with a drop or two of epoxy.
Maybe even use fuse wire, copper is more likely to "give a little" than kanthal

You may even find that there is loads of contact there if you simply epoxy it on
