I've just been browsing through the forum and I've seen a couple of stands for all your vaping goods which has me thinking.
I've got a couple of batteries that came with my starter kit a few months back and I've bought a few more batteries and i've had a few CE4 clearomisers but only coz i want a couple and they burn out a lot and the shop near me hasn't had the replaceable ones in stock lately.
so my question is why would you have all these different things, so much you'd need a big stand? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking at this stuff and thinking I am missing out on something, are the mods better or should i drip when i can?
I guess i just want a bit of a quick guide to this, i've read a lot about these things but not a lot really tell you why this stuff is better or in what way.

I suppose I'm a bit of a collector of stuff! Also, vaping has become a hobby for me! I took up knitting, still not very good at it, and have enough wool to keep several people knitting for a few years! Certainly enough for more than one of my lifetimes! I decided I wanted to keep tropical fish, as we had no room for a really big tank, I bought 3 medium ones! I just can't help myself at times I also can't resist a bargain

I'm not really into collecting 'gear' as such (though between us, after only a few weeks my husband and I now have 7 eGo batteries and 14 clearos) - what we have works well, although I think I'm switching to Kanger Protanks from now on - the MT3s and T3s I have tend to leak intermittently, which the Protank doesn't, so far. I'd also like a few 'tarted up' batteries - girlier looking ones than the plain black and SS we have. Other than that, I'm not bothered about collecting more 'stuff'. My interest lies with juices and flavourings - I really enjoy trying out new (to me) flavours, and I have a few ideas for mixes that I've not seen anywhere for sale - there could be a good reason for that of course - anyone fancy honeysuckle, rose and apple? People have different preferences - some like airier vapes than others, some like something that churns out loads of vapour, some want batteries that last for days between charges. Some people have more disposable income than others, too! If you're happy with what you're using, there's no real need to look for anything else - although I'm a sucker for coloured things, clearos especially!

It's called shinyitis. It afflicts 85% of the vaping population at one point or other in their lifetimes and there is no known cure as yet aside from giving in and getting a 2nd job to pay for all the shiny things self medication. Some people have suggested a vaccine called 'self-discipline', but I have as yet not found any vendor that makes this juice...

glenn25 There are 'benefits' to having some mods. VariableVoltage (VV) and VariableWattage (VW) enable you to push more power through the atomiser, which can improve the taste/throat hit/nicotine delivery of your eliquid. Bigger batteries (in terms of mah rating) will last longer. Many people are perfectly happy with a standard single voltage battery and clearomiser, while others go searching for 'the perfect vape'. Think of it in terms of audio equipment. You can spend £50 on a mini-hifi and get perfectly adequate sound.... Or spend £5000 for seperates and speakers and de-oxygenated cables etc etc.

Well, yes, glenn25 the mods can give you more vapour etc., and dripping gives better flavour if you can stand the faff. But none of it is that important. It is just that some people make a hobby of vaping, while others just do it. And of course all the hobbyists go on forums, while a lot of the people who just do it don't bother. I think it's to do with the stage of market and technical development. If you are old enough you may remember the time before good quality audio systems were reasonably cheap, and everybody seemed to be talking about theirs and buying speakers big enough to keep a car in. Then Alan Sugar came along and made it all boring. We're in the 'big speaker' stage of vaping.

It all depends on what you want to do, its all about personal choice. Some people are happy in a Mini, others want an Aston Martin, personally I just want Italian motorbikes. Getting back to Vaping, the reality is there are lots of things you can try, if your interested, and each will have different results. The permutations are endless and some people see that as a challenge and others are daunted by it and stick with what they know. Some are just happy to be off the stinkies. I used to smoke 40 a day, so I'm saving money very fast, and still have a good budget to buy new things to try.

Good question. It's the same reason why some people 'need' the latest phone or tablet, or have a room full of overpriced shoes, or collect eighteenth century silver inkwells or crave the shiniest <insert consumer product here>. Then of course, once you've acquired your 'stuff', you have to gather it all together and polish it and display it and croon gently to it. It's probably pathological. Still, it's harmless enough, unless the bailiffs are hammering on the door and your children are reduced to eating dust.

I think it's all in pursuit of vaping nirvana, some find it & some don't, but they don't half love the search for it. So then, it becomes an enjoyable hobby.

Some are happy with their egos and Rivas etc. and that's perfectly fine. But if I think someone is getting more out of vaping than me. Then I want a piece of that. I mean a vamo is cheap and ticks a lot of boxes if you don't want to go too mad.

I think most of us have turned vaping into something of a hobby. I'm not fussed with big batteries and mods that much, but I do like a choice of clearomisers and dripping atomisers. In my opinion, if you've only been using CE4s, there's probably stuff out there which you can enjoy (equally or more?) without buying a £150 single device. Variety can be the spice and all that. ???

It's a hobby for me, which I enjoy, I don't get into a lot of things but when I do, it's full on. I don't hang onto gear, I use it, if I really like it, I keep it, if not I usually find myself lending it out but never to return and I have sold a few things on. I keep my best vaping stuff, mainly dripping atty's, and a few Spheroids, some basic batteries and a few nice mods. So that I have a kit for all occasions and moods

For me initially I just wanted to get healthy and in general feel a lot better and although that's still the goal, however nowadays, I am a like a child in a way that anything that I see I want although I have little money to buy whatever the damn thing might be. Its a full time job browsing the web for the next best vape Since becoming a member on AAEC, my vaping experience has dramatically improved.

Well just read through all these posts and as a tech-nut that collects everything shiner with even the slightest of cool new feature i can certainly relate, so my next question has to be....
What should i get to have a nicer vape, both in terms of throat hit and flavour (flavour being something i'm really searching for as many flavours taste bland) on a budget than the CE4 clearo and Ego-t battery.
To give an example of flavour i had sheesha a lot before i stopped smoking and the apple flavour was devine, it tasted like inhaling sweet apple juice
