Well, my 2 novas arrived today, and I must say I am completely disappointed! They are totally unusable, due to the only airway in being on the very bottom of the post, which to be working has to be on top of the battery, this means there is zero draw on them (unless they aren't connected to a battery lol)! I'll contact ft after work later, win some lose some Is there no slot on the post? hesta

110 lumens is pretty low dave just for comparison a normal 50w GU10 (240v) Halogen lamp gives out >600 lumens This LED lamp HERE is more like a replacement in light output terms. And the best IMO are the Phillips one's like THISAlso be aware that many LED replacement lamps are VERY narrow beam you need at least 25 degree, not 15 like many are. The one from Fasttech is more for "mood lighting" rather than "task lighting".

Or it might not be there at all (manufacturing error).

Having sought advice from the good folk of aaec I was advised against getting one of the cheap novas.
However, I was buying a few batteries and thought I might as well give one a go... (Those cunning Fasttech people just know you can never buy just one thing)
It's been working fine and has air holes at the top of the 510 thread. So I guess they will not work if screwed on flush to a mod.
(As a side note, the batteries I actually bought were the wrong size - Doh! Anybody know what I'm going to do with a pair of protected 18500's? Maybe I should feed the shiney addiction and buy something that they will fit in)

They would do someone who has a telescopic mod As for the Novas, they are a simple enough bit of kit and worth a punt at those prices Glad you are getting on okay with yours.

Pezz hestaWhat colour novas have you got? & are they spring loaded, or just proud of the 510? I've got a blue one on the way, with one of robby's special 'spring-loaded' connectors on - doesn't appear to have airholes on the 510. The red one, seems to have slots cut in it, and is flush with the 510. & the translucent one, seems to poke out a bit, but has air-holes at the top of the 510. ??? I cant believe that each colour will in fact be different.

I have doubts about the spring loaded thing fred, I asked the question and they said "No", dont understand it though, because the way they look, the centre post is poking waaaay too far out of the bottom of that Nova. I really dont think they are all from the same source, but it certainly isnt clear from the listings.
