Please tell me Why would someone go and buy a mechanical mod/telescope and then put a "Kick" in it, you may as well in the first instance just get a zmaxx, vamo or eVic, because correct me if im wrong but are you people effectively just turning a mechanical mod into a regulated device, dur i dont understand, (also a kick on it's own costs as much as a Vamo). I keep seeing reviews of telescope mech mods (especially todds reviews, and he is always trying to get a kick inside) im sitting watching and thinking just tell the viewers to go and buy a vamo it's way cheaper too

Mech mods are pretty, that's why I don't use a kick myself though.

Options, I like low resistance vaping on my mechanical mods but sometimes I also like VW, best of both worlds. A lot of people out there with kicks, that's why I mention it in my videos

Todd nailed there, optiions Plus most mech mods with a kick are still a lot smaller than their cheep chinese vw counterparts. Lastly, build quality.

I'm with Todd and Blakey . . . they've both summed up exactly why I like to use a Kick in a non VV/VW device on occasions. Plus . . . they're another shopping opportunity, you can never have too many of them.

Kicks are designed to keep perps busy shopping. I agree, it adds one more dimension to mods to upgrade them to VV and gives options. Also have to bear in mind kicks came about before so many good VV devices were available and as someone said creates a much smaller more compact battery holder/ecig.

I don't have a kick device at the moment, but the draw tube is a thing of beauty and if a kick makes it better then all well and good

Mechanical mods are just seductive and that's the main reason a lot of people buy them, I think. The 18350s in particular, I find myself really wanting one but they are fairly impractical. First you have to set your wick up for them so the device is then tied to the mech mod and then the 18350 battery will start loosing power after quite a short time. Good luck to those who know just what they want and make the most of their mech mods. Not for me and just hope their beauty doesn't make a fool of me.

I don't have a kick device at the moment, but the draw tube is a thing of beauty and if a kick makes it better then all well and good Sadly the upper tube on a draw tube is too wide for a kick, but im sure a resourceful person could devise something?, think i read somewhere that a top metal piece from a clipper lighter was fashioned into a tube to make it contact the spring on a kick. Sorry to hijack the thread but, kicks are useful to give regulated voltage on a mech mod, particularly if you have made a coil too high or too low for personal preference too.

Blakey (I think) formed a 'liner' from a tea-light. It's the threading of the tube that makes it tricky too.

If you have a mech mod & a kick and the kick goes wrong you are still left with a useable mod.
If you have say a Vammo and it stops working, you are knackered.

Alan Yes - I think that is a very good point. Mechanical mods, theoretically should be more reliable (and/or fixable) because there is no circuitry to go wrong.

But wasn't The Kick developed before the advent of cheap/disposable VV devices. It gave the VV option to fixed voltage users for MUCH less than the cheapest VV of the day. Or so I kinda remember...
Good luck Have fun I
