I do it all the time, i try and put kettles in the fridge, iron board in the freezer, go to take a bath and forget why i am in the bathroom, not so long ago i was walking to work and ended up inside Argos which is the opposite way to work, i stood in there and it dawned on me "What the hell am i doing in here" Got a brain scan this Friday, bit of luck they will find my brain, been looking for the damm thing for ages I actually thought you were joking about the brain scan! The absolute best of luck with that and I hope they don't find anything out of the ordinary. My short term memory has been shot for a couple of years or so, it scares the life out of me at times when I too do things like go to put the kettle in the fridge and put milk in my coffee, walk back to fridge, put milk back in fridge, quickly do something else like wipe a surface down, then get milk back out of fridge to put milk in coffee then see I already did it Loads of things like that. Wife might tell me something, I DO listen, 10 minutes later I'll ask her something to do with what she already told me and she says I told you that 10 minute ago and then I do remember but I might ask a second time. Even typing out things on here quite often (I don't look at the screen as I type generally) once I've typed what I wanted to say I look up and there are whole words missing that I thought I had typed, it isn't my keyboard its me (had to add a few words into this paragraph too). It can be quite upsetting. I would suggest you go see your GP if it's on your mind and is worrying you, my GP said so many people who have these type of symptoms leave it thinking that it will just go away and if they see us earlier simple drugs could fix the problem, but they leave it so long that drugs won't work as well as they should. At the end of the day 15mins with your GP can take months or even years of worrying away.

Simate Hope your alright. Glad you got your Mrs there to watch out for ya but I would expect it can cause some problems. hope she understands, tell her AAEC has loads with the same issue, your right it can be upsetting.
I always have to check what I type umpteen times till it rolls of the tongue but I always had issues on that score. Your posts are always well written and that's a compliment to your writing style, Keep on going and thanks for sharing your story.
I initially started this post to share my idiosyncrasies with the members on AAEC and after reading the replies, It has made the things I do somewhat not bad. I do get worried about it but I am only small fry in the light of things, you have cheer me up no end though, thanks all.
Romelee best of luck on Friday and Simate get yourself down to the GP. If things do get worse for me I would be going the docs.

If it was an MRI scan, Super-Shiny, then how do you fall asleep in that noise? Hope all is fine.

Romelee I hope the noise didn't deafen ya, you might end up needing a hearing test. I suppose your the one that could listen to Cliff Richard in a phone box all day.
I hope the test results are good for you. Good luck and Thanks for keeping us up to date.

We're certainly all very different, as after an 1hr & 45mins in that incredibly noisy & deafening torpedo tube, I came out gibbering.

Little update: Won't find out results of brain scan and blood test until 20th of June, results have been sent to the specialist and next Friday i have to go to hospital again for a 4hr test with some neuro thingy guy. Once the 4hr thingy is done then the specialist should have everything he needs, 4hr test, blood test, brain scan, so it looks like i will have to wait until 20th of June. Phew

Fingers crossed for you Rom. It's all to easy to ignore changes in our health and well being . . . I think we're all guilty of that on occasions, because we don't want to waste anyone's time. Daft really as the medical profession is there to help us. Good luck to you.
