Okay so I'm looking to remove the top threads from my VAMO. Have had no luck with pliers etc. vice and brute force the only way. Can't find anything useful on YouTube!

I know this is an old thread, but I have some useful information regarding this subject.
If you unscrew the the extension off the battery compartment and screw it on to the top cap, it gives you much more leverage and you can wiggle the top cap off easily by hand, just be careful once it starts moving.
