Hi I'm trying to quit smoking and I brought a e lites cig and I've been using the regular cartridges. I like it but I have to problems 1) the batteries don't last long enough I work 12 hour night shifts and go through 2 batteries and have to recharge one of them for the drive home! The other big problem is that the only reason I am quitting is because it cost way too much to smoke now ( around £250 a month I spend) but I go through 2 refills a night and at £8 I know I am saving money but not that much. Can anyone suggest what I should use instead if anything? All I want is something that will last a full night and not cost much and is simple. I do like the idea of try some different flavoured liquids aswel. Thanks

There are thousands of liquids to try, you can even mix your own, gets real cheap when you do. I'm sure someone will be along with some links any moment now. And you have made the first and most important step, congrats. Your going to enjoy this

Hi and welcome. Agree with above. The riva kit is a great starting point and comes with carts similar to what you are using now and a clearomiser which you csn try to see which you prefer.

Another thumbs up for the Evod kit but you would probably need the 900mah version as the batteries last a lot longer. That's the one I got and the batteries last me all day for work.

Welcome to you Ben. I'd also recommend the 900mAH Evod kit . . . plus if you pick up some eliquid with it, then you can refill those Elite cartridges of yours, which will save you money and give you a back up system. The discount code for Vape Escape is allabout which will give a 10% discount on your purchase.

Hi Ben & You will not believe how good vaping can be against smoking, the kits linked to above are great starting points and should give you months if not years of service. After the initial outlay you can get by on spending about £10 a week, if you can resist the lure of all the lovely vaping related gadgets.! Here's a starter kit with everything you need except liquid for under £25 - www.vapeland.co.uk/ego-t-ce5-black-starter-kit-900mah-97-p.aspHere's a guide how to set up and start vaping with this type of kit: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/19393/riva-1100-step-guideHave a god look around the forum as well, it will seem a bit daunting at first but we'll help get you started and please don't hesitate too ask any questions no matter how trivial they may seem.

Hi Ben and welcome! You've already had good advice above, but you have definitely made the right choice of forum. This one's very friendly and helpful, and our members have a vast experience. Please don't hesitate to ask a question, no matter how silly it may seem to you. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask! Andy

You've definitely been pointed in the right direction with the kits UK e-cig cabin have the 1100mah kits in link here so the batteries would last you a bit longer in one of those. I'm sure there is a discount code for them as well. Here you go AAEC gives a 5% discount

Just to help you understand the batteries a bit. The MAH stands for Mili Amp Hours and indicates the stored energy a battery has - the higher the number the more work/longer it can do the same thing. Exactly how long it will last you can vary dramatically - it depends how you use it and what device you attach to it.
The longer you use ecigs the chances are your juice consumption will rise - most people find this. Higher levels of use are NOT a health risk - so many people get worried about it. If you go mad and vape like a steam train on high nic levels it can make you feel like you over did it - just as it would when you first started in cigs if you over did it. doctors tell us that it clears from your system in about 30 minutes so even if you go bonkers it will only affect you briefly.

Hello & welcome Ben E-lites do work out very expensive & there are far better & cheaper kits available. All the ones that have been suggested are huge improvements on e-lites & far cheaper for replacement parts.
