OK so I vape a lot, 10ml on average per day. The little issue I have relates to . . . . my lips ! Just inside my upper lip on the left and on the right I have started to develop little hard areas where I tend to have my mouthpiece sit. I think it's mostly the heat that is causing it as well as just having a solid object stuck in these positions for much of the day. Anybody else get this or am I just sensitive ? Feel free to take the mick as I have practically no shame anyways.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that. What exactly are you vaping on???- it sounds very dangerous!. I have never had any of my two rather puny devices do that to me.

I don't think it's the fault of a device or juice - more that I possibly don't give the atty coil rest enoght between draws and it gets extremely hot before I change over to another on my second device.
I use clearo tanks and have metal mouthpiece tubes made from old atty and carto outers - the metal near the coil get so hot I can't touch it with my fingers, especially on the pass through.
It's basically my own fault really, was just interested if anyone else has ever had this.

No Verey I've had the odd little sore or ulcer in the lip and mouth area, caused, I reckon, by the juice getting where it shouldn't. Nothing like you are getting. I think you should change your ways and not have very hot metal close to your lips > Norty! scylla x

I have come accross issues with juices and sore mouth/throat problems, for example if I vape Cinnamon for prolonged periods of time I get an inflamation on the inside of my lips. I love Cinnamon, but unfortunately it does'nt like me.
Then there is a friend of mine that gets a sore throat if he vapes Rum flavoured juices for too long.
In your case it would certainly seem that the juice is'nt at fault so maybe you should allow your atty to cool between vapes as that seems to be the culprit.

Yeah, its definitely the heat I think. They are more like callouses than blisters anyway and aren't painful or uncomfortable really. The reason I thought I'd ask is I have a weirdly high tolerance for pain (once had a dentist prod a broken tooth and tell me it should hurt when he did that and all I could feel was him touching it).

I would avoid metal mouthpieces as they do tend to get really hot even if your not a heavy vaper.

Pain is a warning sign of injury - obviously having such a high threshold has its downside, big time scylla

Luckily I only miss out on the pain, not the other sensations so I do still know when I've hurt myself. My body just seems to stop the pain receptors firing as fast, I have an overactive adrenal gland which contributes a fair bit to this - but does mean my metabolism can go into overdrive.

I was just thinking about this. Do you always have the e-cig in the same place in your mouth??
I have hard callous type marks on my hands from the way I hold a pepsi bottle and the rim rests on the spot that has now gone hard. Could be something similar.

Yes, it's definitely partly having the device sitting the same place all the time - I still have tough skin on my finger edges from 10+ years of restaurant work which I haven't done for nearly 8 years. I wonder if any ex pipe smokers had this when still smoking ?
