If I buy an e-liquid that has too high a nic content can I just add some pg/vg to it to dilute it down?
I have seen a lot that are 36mg and 24 mg but I am currently vaping 16mg or 18 mg which for me is absolutely fine. Is it easy to dilute them??
If this is in the wrong place please feel free to move it, wasn't sure whether to put it here or in mixology.

Collie yes you can hun, it's quite easy. Only problem is by diluting you lose a lot of flavour. I'm looking at buying some extra flavouring as i often buy 36mg then dilute

If you mix your juice 50/50 with some VG you will have half the strength liquid ie 36 will go to 18mg. But you will also half the flavour. Oops, you got here first Dee! (I'm off to the PO now to post your parcel )

Ok so if I had some flavourings in just to top it up and stop it being flavourless I can dilute it down. Awesome to know thanks. Just been looking and a lot of places only seem to do 36mg and 24mg.

You do'nt mention if your high nic juice is unflavoured or not.
If it is unflavoured then just dilute it with PG or VG to take down the nic strength.
However, as mentioned above if your juice is flavoured then you will indeed weaken the flavour.
When adding flavourings to juices, whether flavoured or unflavoured, it's a good idea to use only a few mls at a time as you do'nt want to ruin the whole batch of juice and end up having to throw it away.
If it is unflavoured juice your using you might want to take a look at my post on mixing in the Mixology section where I cover using flavourings.

I might get some unflavoured juice and give mixing a go at some point. The post was about commercial flavoured juices that have too high a nic content for me. I hadn't considered that the flavour would be compromised. Might just look at making my own instead.

You can use food flavourings as long as they have NO oil in them, I understand. And if you mix in, say, a 5ml bottle, you won't waste too much on false starts scylla x

Skylla when you say "you can use food flavourings" I take it that your refering to Supermarket flavourings.
If so I'd just like to mention that all of the flavour vendors i.e. LorAnn, TPA, FF (faeries finest), etc where originally intended for foods. As far as I know only Flavourart brought out their flavouring range aimed at the e-cig market, although I'm not sure about the Decadent Vapours range from TW.

I second everything you said Some of us (not including me) went for supermarket flavourings when only Lorann were known to be available from an e-cig supplier (TW). I didn't rate Lorann, BTW, cos I thought you had to use a lot to get flavour thru and that watered down the e-juice - and made them costly! scylla

Yes LorAnn flavourings do come in what's known as Dram sizes, which is just over 3ml. I only use a few LorAnn flavourings myself, but I would'nt agree that they are weak, or at least not the ones I use anyway.

DIY eJuice is a good route to take and can save you lots of money. I have accumulated lots of flavoring from FlavourArt, Lorrann's, Capella, Perfumers Apprentice to name a few. My favorite is FlavourArt which is used exclusively by Freedom Smokes USA (FSUSA) to make their own custom eJuice's.
Yes cutting down your flavored eJuice with VG or PG will dilute the flavor so adding in additional flavoring will help.
