Holiday Traveler's Card

I normally take travelers cheque's or cash abroad but this time i wanna put my money on one of those travelers cards, anyone used any of these:

My wife got one from co-op travel but the ones you mentioned are well known and safe.

I've been using the Virgin one for travel in Europe and had no problems with it.

denis9t9 probably buy my money sitting in their account for awhile, bit like when companies used to pay wages weekly and now most pay monthly, longer it sits in their account "Cha Ching"

These prepaid cards make their money by the interest on your money deposited and poor conversion rates. So you need to be aware who charges what.

DiscoDes ,had a good check and also had a chat on tripadvisor and the end result was Claxton card, i will load it up with £200.00 a day via online from my main card and use it to take out the £200.00 a day from the atm machines, that way i can leave my main bank card at the villa (well hidden) and just carry the Claxton card around, so maximum loss would be £200.00 if i lost the card, plus there is no charge for using the atm machine with Claxton.
