Thanks for the advice folks, very much appreciated. I'll think of you all while lying on a sun drenched beach, Vamo in one hand, large rum cocktail in the the other. Now I wonder which juice flavour would be nice with a rum cocktail :-D

I think I'll save my money and invest in a box load of Vamo wraps......they're bound to sell like hot cakes when this comes out

UPDATE on extra bit of wick on top of the coil (must be why they did it) Seems to be working fine now after putting the extra bit of wick back on top of the coil yesterday, no leaks, no gurgles Thanks for the excellent pic's robby, they're really helpful to a total novice like myself but I was just wondering if using a 3mm wick would have the same effect as using the 2mm and then adding the bits on top? Sorry if this is a daft question but I've zero experience of rewicking.

Hi can anyone advise me on a suitable dripping setup for testing liquids. I've only ever used tanks before but decided to try a bit of DIY, so I'm just looking for something basic to test my recipes.

Hi lamental, I'm in exactly the same boat. I'm off the cigs 2 weeks today and just about to order my vamo from China....seems to be quite the trend among us newbies . This is definitely the most friendly forum I've found. Everyone has been really patient and generous with their advice. Don't forget to check out some of the great competitions for freebies and best of luck with staying of the stinkies

My original motivation to stop smoking was definitely the cost. I was spending about £130 a week but given the amount of GUFF I've managed to cough up in the past two weeks since stopping, I would be genuinely terrified to start smoking again! (sorry for being so graphic folks)

As Arrowmunda has said no need for protected in the Vamo. The Panasonics are a very safe chemistry anyway. The main thing with Lithium batteries is not to over charge above 4.2 volts and not to discharge below 2.5 volts. The vamo cuts off at low voltage, as do most electronically controlled mods, to protect the batteries. You would only need a protected battery if using a mechanical mod. Thanks again Brambles and Arrowmunda , now I've got the the batteries bit sorted, I've emailed Vapourbreak and ask them to let me know when the ss version of the Vamo will be in stock. As I was intending to buy a better charger and batteries anyway theirs is definitely the best value. I've even enough left over to buy a pretty new protank to top it all off!
