I have bought Panasonic batts a few times from fasttech and none of them have been copies....this is also true of the intellicharger from them (as for the comment about chinese intellichargers...hehe all intellichargers are made in china by sysmax), ok there might be fake ones about but the fasttech ones are the real deal. as to whether the vamo is SS I do not know. Sure, didn't mean to imply stuff is bad because its chinese. Most of everything is made in China, including bad rip-offs of good chinese stuff. Thing about buying direct from China is you can't sue if something goes wrong, even good chinese suppliers often have limited product understanding and sending it back is a hassle and a long wait. Fasttech is getting a good reputation here, I've heard of no reports of Panasonic-labelled batteries being ripoffs, and I am sure your Panasonics are fine. But I'm not sure that you would know whether they were copies or not.

Ok, so it seems that all I'm sure about is the fact that the charger will be ok! Tease-smiley I have no problem paying a bit more for batteries if it is likely to save me from big problems.. That bit about the Ultrafire batteries being re-used laptop cells certainly came as a shock!! So now I just need to consider whether to take the plunge and buy the Vamo and charger from abroad and save a few quid, or buy from the uk and pay the extra... Quite a decision considering the fact that they are the same products, its just the aftercare...

I've had 3 Vamo's up to now and only one is left working the first one the screen died on me, the second had the treads go on me, and just keeping the third one just to test the ohms of my atty's on. I would recommend a cheap Lavatube, I have got two of these, and only paid a tenner each for them, good vv voltage and last for ever threads. That's a heck of a spanner to throw in the works!!! What other mods are available for a price that's similar to the Vamo which offer the same features? Ideally I want VW and the option of being able to check the resistance of the coils.. When you say that the threads went on you, could you elaborate as to what exactly happened? Is it possible that it was caused by cross-threading at some point?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Panasonic batteries or the Vamo kit from Fastteck. I have three Vamos, not from Fasttech but they all still work A1. I have bought the Panasonics from Fasttech and they are GENUINE, I believe it and many other people believe it. The only time I have seen them ctiticised is from people who havent actually bought them from Fasttech. The Vamo is an excellent value for money mod and the LT doesnt come close in my opinion. I have never had problems with thread. It is the same with any ecig, if you tighten up the atty too much you are going to wear away the brass thread to the point where it wont take anything. There are many users on this forum who are very happy with the Vamo, from a usability point of view and certainly from a value for money point of view. The kit on Fasttech looks like the first one I bought. The grey batteries have proved to be good batteries. They live up to the capacity and are still going strong.

Thankyou for your replies everyone!! Has anyone actually ordered a Vamo from Fasttech that can confirm whether it is the SS or chrome version please? I only ask as there comments on the website which say that they are the SS versions? I've just costed up getting the Vamo from VapourBreak, as well as getting batteries and charger from Ebay, and this is how it works out.. Vamo £23 ($35) 18350 torchy batts £8 18650 torchy batts £11 4 bay charger £25 total of £67!!! Assuming that the Vamos is indeed Stainless, is it really worth the extra £16 to get the torchy batteries over the greys and panas? Really value your inputs guys and gals! Thankyooooooouuuuuuuu! I messaged them about the material and they tell me it is SS. Personally I would get the Pannies from Fasttech, the small grey ones 18350 batteries are fine. The Icore 4 channel charger (version 2) is also available at Fasttech for approx £12. Dont ask me what version2 means, I havent got a clue lol. I would get the Vamo kit from Fasttech if you are getting an icore chrger and you will have a reasonable backup charger as well.

Personally I would get a couple more 18650 batteries. You`ll be pretty well set up then Dan. You may want to re-assure yourself about the Stainless Steel, but I have asked them and they said yes it is Stainless Steel. If you look at the Discussions on the page, you can see their response ("geek" is an employee)

I will eventually buy a couple of larger diameter clearos so it matches the diameter of the vamo, but for now I don't want to spend anything else until I've got myself sorted..

You can wrap a couple of turns of sellotape around the top and bottom of the batteries to stop the rattle. Personally I havent had an issue with that. iclear16s certainly fit, I dont have any evods, maybe someone else can offer an opinion as to those. To the best of my knowledge they are fine

I had to get an adaptor to make evods work, they were hit and miss before the adaptor and a pain to unscrew without unscrewing the head. The adaptor solves all this and they work great, plus the evods are such great value that getting an adaptor to use with them is hardly gonna break the bank

For the resistance of my coils I always use a meter to check mine, and the threads of the Vamo are SS but in my opinion a low grade soft SS, the threads on my Lavatubes are Brass and a lot harder wearing.

I have a ss Vamo v2 and I think it is great. I am so happy with it I am awaiting on a ss backup one coming from vapourbreak just in case.
I have had no problems with the threads on mine as of yet.
I would say any stainless steel (even low grade) will last alot longer than brass. Brass is very soft in comparison to stainless steel imho.
