Help! My computer won't recognise my Evic

My new Evic arrived today. I've downloaded MVR and plugged the Evic into the computer. I get the 'new hardware found' wizard but it won't locate a driver. Any suggestions please?

I've also had loads of problems with the software and can't get it to work properly, I've given up for the moment and will try on another pc one day.

Thanks Womble. I'm not sure how much I'll use the software, but the Evic firmware is 1.1 and I at least want to be able to update it to the newest version

Have you installed the MVR software or just downloaded it ?

Quick google search ...Right click the MVR icon and "Run as administrator".

OneDay, have you tried right click on the MVR icon on the desktop and open as Administrator?

I managed to update mine and then it all went wrong, it did take me a few attempts at loading the software to get it to work.

I'd like to be able to use the software. Have you another pc to try?

I have problems if I do not use the specific lead that came with the evic

There's no 'run as administrator' option. Mine is the only account on this pc

Even after I had installed it, I still had to give it admin rights.

No, you go to your programs opening tab and click run as Admin IIRC

Right click on the Icon and you should have a list come up which includes "run as administrator

I would try different lead if you have one

the other micro usb lead from phone I have does not allow software/ecig connect, when I then replace with lead that came in kit using same usb port I have no problems
