Olive oil in restaurants, never heard of any harm coming from the refillable jugs/ bottles, customers seem to like it, small businesses use them to make their living, no one actually has any real concerns about them at all (in the real world.) EU wants to ban them. Sound familiar to you?

They are just making up yet more idiotic laws to try and justify their existence. The amount of new laws, rules and regulations that come out that most of us are unaware of because they aren't reported is unreal. It's going to come to a point where sneezing in public will be breaking the law.

The reasons given are all bullshit - fiver to a penny the real reason is to boost sales of pre-packaged small quantities, which are much more profitable for the producers/bottlers. As always, follow the money trail - who benefits? Of course, this gives rise to the suspicion that there's been a backhander or two along the way and I'd be very interested to know who, in all the labyrinthine corridors, trousered some cash for this decision. |
