After months and months of looking and giving up, yesterday I finally found the charger for the Skycig system that I used in the beginning when I changed from ciggies to vaping.
For four weeks I cut down on fags and upped the vaping and then stopped the fags completely and used the Skycig only for another couple of weeks, albeit using shop bought 18mg e-juice and topping up the cartos with that. Then I bought an Ego system.
Anyways, last night I charged up the Skycig pack then this morning charged up the batteries.
Okay, it ain't as good as my MODs or Egos, but it is okay. With my own juice in it there is plenty of vapor and plenty of throat hit and the fact that I did survive for 2 weeks using this kit alone, proves that cig-a-like can be made to work if necessity decrees it.
So now the Skycig will go in the glovebox in the car as a just in case while I'm out and about.
The thing is, I haven't used this system for nearly 10 months now, but I have been exposed to forum members doing cig-a-likes down and criticising them left, right and centre, so today I am pleasantly surprised just how good my Skycigs are working and the fact that they take any 510 carto is a bonus.
Hopefully I will now view cig-a-likes with a more educated mind.

I've always said that IMO cig-a-likes have their place Wouldn't be my all day choice but really handy for those situations where you don't want to explain what you're doing sucking a lightsaber Being automatic they're quite pocket friendly too for when you want a quick stealth vape, no worries about pressing a button a few times to turn them off!

Sadly, my E-lites, even whipped into a full scale charge frenzy with 100% power and a brand new cartomiser don't produce anything more than a mere hint of vapour. Proof after all that even skycigs have some redeeming features.

I have kept my Skycig kit as well ... they live in the car most of the time. But always useful and easier for holding between the teeth when I am working in my workshop (shed).
I just wish I could find some juice that tasted like the skycig cherry did. I have searched and searched but alas in vain!!

Have never tried a cig-a-like, went straight for an eGo kit, so can't really comment. All I would say (I know, hypocrite!) is that the younger (God, they're all younger) colleagues at work who tried them, have all gone back to smoking. So, to me, it's an image problem... old farts like Lobey & me, don't give a knats *** about what people think, but the younger generation obviously do.

Perhaps it is more of a money thing.
Younger people who try cig-a-likes and then go back to smoking are not willing to spend their money "on the real thing" and anyway, are just trying it out of curiosity rather than looking for a decent alternative.
Whereas we probably have reasons for looking for a cheaper and healthier alternative and so are more committed to investing a bit more, both financially and time wise.
In the beginning I had 6 weeks of cig-a-likes, 4 smoking and vaping and 2 just vaping, but within 3 weeks of going on them I had figured out how to refill them with stronger e-juice and it was with this stronger juice that I went 100% vaping. But the main thing was that I wanted to get away from the fags and I wasn't just trying them for fun, so I was willing to put in the time to look on the internet for something better that suited me.
I knew about Ego's, Cartos and Clearos from the vaping members of a camping club forum that I am in and that was before I bought the Skycig Kit, but I couldn't justify spending the money on these until I knew that I really would take to Vaping. Indeed the Skycig Kit that I bought was a special introductory offer at £12. It was only 5 weeks down the road when I realised that I was saving a good whack of money that I could now afford to invest in a proper Ego Kit and still put the same again in the bank. It was only then that I ordered the Vision 1000 kit and I was off and running.
In amongst the Warlords, Dibley MODs, ProVari, Zmax and Ephros, there still lurks my Egos and Skycigs and they all have their role to play in my present day vaping ammo.
