Hey folks I know it's a bit soon but am dying to have a go at mixing .... So .... as my maths is pretty pants and, with the aid of my high tech equipment (ie scrap of paper and calculator), could anyone tell if I am on the right track here ..... My `recipe' (ooh get me)..... for 30ml of liquid at 18mg strength menthol mix would be as follows: 10 ml of 54mg mixing liquid + 12ml ml of pg Diluent + 5ml of vg Diluent + 3ml of Menthol concentrate Just wondering if I am getting the theory of ratios right etc Any help guidance would be most appreciated

Why not download the calculator from here ? But yes - thats 18mg. PG/VG ratio depends on your nic base, but if its PG, would give you about 84/16 I think.

As you are adding the 54mg. nic consisting of 1/3 the total content, then it is the same equation ie. the nic strength is 54mg. so a third of 54 will be 18. If you always want the finish nic strength to be 18mg, then if you use 54mg. base, it will always be a third of your finished total.
10 ml .finished quantity = 3.33ml. of 54mg. nic 20 ml. finished quantity = 6.66ml. of 54mg. nic 30 ml. finished quantity = 10.0ml. of 54mg. nic 100 ml......................... = 33.33ml of 54mg. nic
But remember that if your nic base changes strength, then different % will apply
Hope this helps

Hi thanks folks,
I have looked at that guide and thought I understood it, corronggggg
Do I have to factor in the base pg/vg ratio, is that right?
The e juice calculator differs slightly from my calculations it says
10ml of ejuice 14.5ml of pg 2.5 of vg 3ml of menthol concentrate
does that sound about right?

What would you like your finished ratio of PG/VG to be Mel?
With Breakthru's calculator, on the top set of ratio's put in your 50/50 PG/VG as that's for your Nicotine base . . . then on the second set of ratio's underneath, put your desired finished mix blend in.
Add your flavouring, then calculate. Hope that makes sense!

sorry didnt answer your question there i thought 70/30 as this is what most recommend I get exactly the same calculation as your last one Mel, working on 10% flavouring concentration . . . so you've sussed the calculator.

Down loaded mixing aps are not foolproof and rely on you understanding them. I much prefer using a panlingual graphite core B2 with integrated correction unit.
