Now .... this is going back a bit .... but ..... in my first marriage (which didn't last very long, and for good reasons) he thought I was very dedicated, because I ironed his undies ...... The truth is I got a real buzz out of putting it on full steam and hearing that wonderful sizzling noise as I pressed down onto the crotch. As therapy goes, it was pretty good actually Nice one, dragon!

What's an iron? Honestly unless it's really really creased I don't iron anything.

Romelee you are mad. Never ever iron anything. If you wash and dry correctly it should not need ironing. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Quite agree with you, I have not ironed for years, buy the right materials you don't need too. I never ironed underwear, sox or anything that was 'hidden' on the body. My mad daughter evens irons towels, tea towels, bra straps, bedding,t. shirts, oh my lord how much time she wastes being a perfectionist.

I enjoy ironing - find it very therapeutic - sad but true . I do not however iron my underwear. It's a bit like peeling mushrooms - life's to short!! I also have 100% cotton bedding but I only iron the pillowcases - can't be bothered having a fight with the duvet cover. Donkeys years ago I remember my friends mum ironing tea towels - WRONG on every level So, if you want any ironing done (but not pants/kecks/undercrackers)...

I iron mr BCs shirts but hang everything else, If you don't iron your things then I suggest you tell Mr BC to iron his own shirts Mr K doesn't agree with my no ironing status, so he irons his own clothes, not socks or boxers though! I used to iron DS's school shirts but a couple of years ago I spent some painstaking time teaching him to do it himself. He now agrees that if they're hung properly they don't need doing Life's too short for ironing!

Donkeys years ago I remember my friends mum ironing tea towels - WRONG on every level That's how I was taught to iron & one of the ways I earnt pocket money as a kid, doing tea towels, hankies (those were the days) & pillowcases. Never kacks though & nan's bloomers were quite big!

I do the lion's share of the ironing in our house, but only because my wife finds it impossible to iron my work shirts without inserting tramlines into every sleeve! However, I don't iron socks, underwear or bedding, for the reasons stated above. I do find that working for HM Armed Forces does instill a certain minimum standard for acceptable presentation which is difficult to lose! Having said that, I absolutely HATE ironing trousers (especially those which don't contain a natural fibre in them!) Andy
