been vaping about 5 days now using about 3 to 4 ml a day of variouse flavours ( i was a heavy smoker 40 to 50 a day) yesterday i started to get a raw throat sort of roof of mouth at the back, i had been enjoying menthol for 2 days and i put it down to that ( overdoing the 1 flavour ) sp i swopped to a more mellow taste of melon, but i still have it, i am using a ego twist at 3.8v and so i have played with the settings a bit to cool the vape down but unless i am at lowest setting i still get this burn sensation, has anyone else had this issue, is it part of the stop stinkies routine or am i doing this wrong lol, would apretiate your input
juice im using is totally wicked premixed if that makes a difference.
thanks in advance.

Vaping tends to dehydrate you so you do need to keep up the water intake a lot. It could be a reaction to the pg or the vg in the liquid. It could also be your mouth and gums are finally getting blood to them and so your mouth is kind of sorting itself out.
Not had anything like that myself so hopefully somebody will be along with more knowledge.

I get a dry throat when I chain vape. Not sure if that is what your getting though as we all know the feelings are totally different. As said it could be a reaction to either the pg or vg. Best way to ind out is get a couple of flavours that are either just vg and just pg. give them a go and see what happens.

If it is burn then it points to poor wicking. It seems to be wicking okay at the lowest setting without burn taste but when you increase the wicking demand by upping the volts it cant cope. Just thinking out loud here. Have you tried another atomizer?

I get that with too much menthol, or just too much vaping in general. I'm normally fine the day after though, I just cut down a little if I can

Menthol can be quite harsh on the soft throat/mouth tissue . . . so if you've caned it a bit, then it will probably take a little time for the soreness to disappear Steve, whatever flavour you use.
Try holding the vapour in your mouth for a few seconds before you take it down, it may help take that immediate edge off, on your throat.
It could also be the reasons the gents above have given, it can take a little time to acclimatise to vaping and maybe you need to adjust your technique a little to how you smoked.

thanks guys i think i have overdone the menthol a bit so ill just keep an eye on that
its not burn taste its like a sore throat so lower v = less vape = less sore i think
i hope i havent got an alergy to the pg or vg as im enjoying this, will see how it goes.

Just as a matter of interest I have had 2 people at work tell me today that they have a sore throat, then I saw on facebook that my DIL and her family do too. Maybe it is just a sore throat and nothing to do with vaping

This is almost a mirror of myself when I first started, same liquids (TW), same sore throat and mouth. Looked it up on the web -as I was worried about being allergic to the liquids or PG/VG - and apparently it's not an uncommon symptom of stopping smoking. Although the length of time it takes to take effect can vary, mine took about the same as you. I had it for about a week or so (I think), and took to strepsils and lozenges and it seemed to pass. Still get a raw mouth occasionally now, but it is only for the odd day here and there. Hope it helps, and happy vaping!
