I still don't really understand WHAT they're banning (this will probably out my alter ego on the Daily Fail) - is it lookalikes, is it vaping devices (which may or may not contain nicotine, no way to tell by just looking), is it nicotine in any other form than cigarettes (ie patches and inhalers)? What exactly are they trying to stop people doing? Breathing steam in public?

I went to the link on one comment saying how dangerous they were. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3636314/It looks like they have taken the data from ecig forums about the negative effects people think they have been getting from vaping. Sorry data may be the wrong word. Posts from vapers doesn't make it data.

As we all know a few folks usually noobs will post about dry throats etc.etc. which is all part and parcel of quitting tobacco smoking . The data trawling of course only highlights the negative comments (its a pre-determined outcome) so naturally study results will report great dissatisfaction with e-cigs Unfortunately studies like this type get published quickly , exactly like a recent one commissioned by Cancer Research UK where researchers are looking at Tobacco Harm Reduction - should be a no brainer you would think !!!!! Studies favourable to vaping like some by Dr Farsalinos have struggled for publication ...... I wonder why !!!!!!

Wow, the comments on that are crazy, so many misinformed people out there. Sadly as has been mentioned before, as long as we use ecigs we will be seen as no different than smokers. Someone will always say there is passive vaping, someone will always say the liquid you use stinks and someone will always say that we are all in on a massive plot to hook the next generation into nicotine use for the good of the tobacco companies.
People will always find a 'good reason' to ban anything they don't like. Wait, sorry, I mean people with money will always find a 'good reason' to ban anything they don't like that eats into their profits.

I only skimmed it, but it seemed to me that other than dehydration (a well known thing amongst vapers everywhere) all the other 'symptoms' - like soreness of the mouth etc. are also seen when quitting smoking.

I've got to laugh. Microsoft "Access", google's find of forums and then using "Cytoscape association graphics". What a bunch of Barclay's.
There are 10, 20, 30 (?) THOUSAND people on just the forums I know about.
People don't ****** post in the "health" section about the positive. Can you imagine a thread
"Please help, I have quit smoking but am worried I have no side effects from Vaping...." I mean it's INSANE.
Massive lumps of male cow poo. 326 "negative" reports of which 320 are probably....I feel thirsty and or I vaped too much and have a headache.
We KNOW some people have a reaction to PG. I would say that even 320 negative comments based on some issue with e-liquid out of MILLIONS of vapers is pretty spectacular. Probably a better rate of "problems" than diet soda or eating ready meals.
I think the name Prue Talbot sums it up. What give these people the right to say "Vaping is not 100% perfect, therefore if you could keep on the tobacco and die prematurely, it would sure help my life insurance premiums, my pension and my investments." and my back-handers and my holidays in Barbados.
Writing something like that devalues someone's credibility. Standing behind statistics makes them a liar in the event you "bend" the statistics to suit your intent.
